Many doctors in the United Kingdom work as doctors and nurses as they go through the process of
requalification. Do you think this is a valuable way of spending time? Give reasons for your answer.

Of course requalification before handling patients directly is important for all medical personnel, in
the medical faculty we spend a long time to become a doctor and before officially can handle
patients by themselves. for example, a medical student must take pre-clinical education for 3.5 years
then get a medical degree, after that they will undergo a professional education program for 2 years,
then they will undergo a professional competency test which contains material test and Objective
Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) in Indonesia we call it UKMPPD and National OSCE, after that
they will got the title of general practitioner and waiting for an internship period for 6 months, and
then undergo internship for 1 year, and after a long period of time they finally can treat patients
officially as general practitioners at hospitals or clinic. The requalification is certainly very important
for health workers because we are dealing with someone's life, where it is a very valuable thing and
there is no substitute, so we must study seriously and act professionally later.

HOW TO BUILD A TEAMWORK

Before we move on to the main topic which is how to build a teamwork, we must know what is
the meaning of teamwork, teamwork is an effort made by someone in a work environment that
adheres to the general philosophy that humans are social beings who depend on their
surroundings to solve problems together.

So, There are several ways you can do it to build a great teamwork, especially in a healthcare
service. But don’t worry some kind of step you must to do will come easier each day because of
a lot of practice that you’re doing, both in daily life, during college, or meeting new people is a
learning that happens every day.

First of all, the commitment and trust are very important to build a teamwork, in a healthcare
service we know that all medical personnel have undergone education and made a pledge on the
degree that she/he got, so surely they will be responsible for everything he does in his work, so
you don’t need to worry about that.

Secondly, Learned communication skills to prevent misunderstandings and errors, we must

practice effective communication and being polite also an important thing in a communication,
being polite to someone is an example of good service and giving someone comfort and trust in
us. Almost all medical errors remain a significant contributor to patient mortalities. Almost all
medical errors result from miscommunication. With effective communication reduces these
occurrences and increases positive patient outcomes.

Thirdly, Determining, identifying and assigning specific roles. Individuals from different
medical disciplines serve varying function on inter-departemental teams. Additionally, these
individuals originate from various cultures, backgrounds and experiences. In the healthcare
services we must build mutual respect and trust with each interaction with the clients and our
healthcare teams. Our teams and patients relate to conversation in which they feel respected and
valued.

Fourthly, Knowing the diversity of capabilities and how we can adapted with changing
condition. As an example, we are currently experiencing a covid-19 pandemic. so we have to
know the capabilities of someone in our team and how we adapt to the current situation. for
example, a general practitioner in a hospital, works in the emergency department sector which is
in charge of recognizing vital signs and initial checking before the patient continues to seek
treatment to a specialist who is in accordance with the illness he is suffering from.

The last, do not forget to maintain and improve the quality of existing services, because with
good service and make use of the facilities that have been given as well as possible is an
effective action and gives a great impression of your healthcare services
