The desire to commit myself to the study of Electronics and Communication Engineering

spawned a few years ago, after I completed my twelfth standard. I had been an excellent
student throughout my schooling and therefore the decision to take up science in my tenth
standard was predestined. So, I took up science and in my twelfth standard, I got introduced
to the chapter of Semiconductor Physics .
Little did I know back in my tenth standard that I would fall in love with the subject of
electronics to such an extent that I would end up completing my B.tech in Electronics and
Communication, six years later. Manipal University was my dream place to pursue my
degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. With an overall good performance in
school examin tenth grade, with 80% and 85% in my twelfth standard (CBSE), I could make
it to my dream place with my dream branch of engineering. It was during my undergraduate
program at Manipal University. The initial course provided a brief insight of electronics. In
the first five semesters I came across with the subjects like Analog Integrated Circuits,Digital
System Design,Network Theory,Embedded Systems,Communication Systems and Control
Systems. All the core subjects were equally important to me but Electromagnetic Waves and
Antennas were my favourite subject among them.Subjects of D.S.D using F.P.G.A & Data
structures using C++ were my Program Electives during the sixth semester of my course.
Apart from the theory courses, I also received hands on training in the laboratories which
made me an expert in the usage of the packages like Verilog,HSpice,MATLAB, COMSOL
moreover managed to secure a CGPA of 7.4/10 till my fifth semester and expect to secure
8.68/10 by the end of my four year course.
In addition to the theory as well as laboratory based learning, our university has incorporated
minor project in the curriculum, wherein the students have to showcase their technical and
innovative side of learning, in the form of project work, review paper, model presentation
etc.I successfully made a BIO SENSOR TO SEPARATE BLOOD CELLS USING
DIELECTROPHORESIS . By exploiting the fact that platelets are the smallest cells in blood,
it is possible to perform size-based fractionation of blood (that is, separate platelets from red
blood cells) using dielectrophoresis, a force produced by a spatially nonuniform electric field
that can even affect electrically neutral particles. This model demonstrates the continuous
separation of platelets from red blood cells (RBCs) using the Dielectrophoretic Force feature
available in the Particle Tracing for Fluid Flow interface.
Apart from the project and course based learning undertaken in college, I desired to gain
exposure from the industries and other academic training institutes, and this prompted me to
take up various pieces of training and internships. I have learnt a great deal about my chosen
field of study not only through the courses but also through several internships that I
undertook as part of my university’s curriculum.During my 1styear,I did a training at
DTU(DELHI TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY) & MANIPAL UNIVERSITY JAIPUR ,where I
learnt Core Java for about 1.5 months and did a Mini Project on it and in Manipal university
Jaipur I completed a research project on graphene and Si nano wire under HOD of physics
department .I did an industrial internship during my 2ndyear in GENERAL
ELECTRICS,PUNE where I worked in the Operations department and I worked on various
manufacturing machinery of LOCO VEHICLES where I performed various 6 Sigma LEAN
procedures hence reducing the line time my a tremendous amount, so did I made p.f.m.e.a
sheets of machinery I worked on .
I attended some seminars and workshops that took place at my college campus itself. Some of
them include Ericsson Career Connect Program by Ericsson Global Limited, which was a 24
hour session on ‘Telecom Essentials’ and a 3 day workshop on ‘5G and Software Defined
Networking of telecom Sector’.
I have always been fascinated by the wonders that the telecommunication sector provides in
this technology driven world that we are living in and it is the inquisitiveness to contribute in
this particular sector that propelled my aspiration to pursue my final semester internship
project as a graduate engineer trainee at Ericsson Global which is a leading provider of
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to service providers and creates game
changing technology and services for its customers.
Electronics & communication engineering. This is one of the best course in engineering.
Actually it is a core subject in which we get enormous job opportunities in either hardware or
software field. I choose this course due a particular interest I have in electronic gadgets . It
covers a wide range of applications which make our life easier and enjoyable such as
Television, radio, computers, telecommunication etc. They help us to see, hear and
communicate over vast distances and do things faster. When Alexander Graham Bell
invented the telephone and Marconi developed the radio in 19th century, no one would dream
that these two distinct technologies together would create another wonderful product that is
cell phone(smart phones) which is now part of everybody's life. So, in my opinion it is best to
choose ECE as your stream at B.tech in order to have bright future in the Jobs present in the
market.
I would like to quote I am a firm believer of the ideology “Nothing is impossible” , which is
one of the reason that I believe I can excel in all aspects of my life
