STRUCTURAL STEEL DESIGN

In NSCP 2001, Allowable Stress Design is used in designing flexural members. All of the
equations provided in NSCP 2001 will provide you the allowable stress. But in NSCP
2010/2015, there are two ways in designing the flexural members. The Allowable Strength
Design (ASD) and Load & Resistance Factor Design (LRFD). Both analysis will provide you
the strength of the section by means of moment capacity.

This is summary on how you will analyze a flexural member under NSCP 2010/2015.
