5. Procedure:

5.1 Students is require to read and understand the wiring diagram given in Figure 1 and
with the knowledge the student needs to answer the questions given below.

1. What is the purpose/function of P139 and P140 on this circuit?

Plug and receptacle to supply and deliver power respectively.

2. lt was found that the wire number P25820 is chaffing, what ist the type of wire
and size to be used to replace this wire.
Size of the wire is 20 AWG and it is a shielded single conductor wire.

3. What ist the type of power generation (AC or DC) and the value produced
from the circuit when the system is fully operational supply by DC Alternator?
The type of power generation is DC and the value produced is 28V.

4. What is the voltage value at point RL1-A2 (Starter Relay), if the Master Switch
is switch to "ON' position?
24V (Lead Acid battery voltage)

5. What is the purpose/function of connectors P121 and P122 on this circuit?

To connect and supply power from the cabin underfloor to the instrument panel.

6. What is the circuit breaker current rating for the DC Alternator?

70 amperes
7. What is the voltage value at point 2153-2 (Starter Engaged Warning Relay), if
the Master Switch is switch to "ON' position and Key lgnition Switch position to
'Start'?

and size to be used to replace this wire.
Size of the wire is 18 AWG and it is a single conductor wire.

20. lf Shunt is open circuited, what indication from this circuit will not function
provide an indication?

21. State the differences in current flow (high or low) between wires no P4A6 and
P23A20.
P4A6 wire carries a higher current flow (70A) whereas P23A20 carries a lower current flow (3A).
