Holistic counselling

On the 27 January in the classroom, we did a short review of thing which are done counselling.

What I gather counselling is interacted and emotional profession that require that acquisition of

knowledge to preparation and a compassionate heart to be affective. As a counsellor you must be

willing to listen. It is not about you it is about the client. We have to gain the knowledge in order

to counsel the client. Wisdom from god to intellect our mind proverbs 24 14:50 that the

knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul, and the word of God, the Bible is God World, spoken

word living words.

The Attribute of God are, good loving caring, faithful, gentle and the Holy Spirit. As Christian

counsellor you need to plunge in the Holy Spirit, the Christian counselor will seek to bring

people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and help them find a relationship confessing

of sins asking for divine forgiveness and relief from the crippling effect of sin and guilt. As a

counselor we must have faith, we must be able to past through experience in order to cope with

the problem the clients face time to time. As a chance counsellor, two of our codes behaviors for

counsellors is you have respected the clients right to self-determination. Counsellors do not have

the right to interfere in the lives of their clients by making decisions for them. Instead they are

charged with helping them to think clearly and weigh the possible consequences of their actions.

Be committed to providing equal and fair treatment to all clients based on need, we must be

helping clients lives their God given Dreams. A counsellor must be they for the client in time of

need he or she must not rush they profession the counsellor must be able to realize the clients

personal emotions are deep reflection of who we are and what we are experiencing at a particular

time in response to stimuli you must be sensitivity and should be employed to respect the clients

needs. The Christian counsellor have the church as a healing community. A group of people

characterized by intense commitment to the group and a common interest in healing

psychological to help the client solve or better cope with triune, adequate attention must be given

to address the issue, as Christian counsellor we must pray. Ask the Holy spirit to lead, guide and

convict, without the holy spirit help we must be totally bankrupt without Him.

Thessalonians 5:23 and the very God of peace sanctify you wholly. And I pray God your whole

spirit and Soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and

destiny of man as defined by God, since we live in a world-system governed by rules and laws.

General Knowledge of the societal system works is essential. The counsellor must be balanced in

perspectives spiritualizing the client’s problem as a general rule as a recipe for disaster. A

thorough analysis of client’s problem should never be sacrificed on the altar of expediency.

Counselling is a process based on a relationship that is built on empathy.

Acceptance and trust. Within this relationship the counsellor focuses on the clients feeding

thoughts and action, and then empowers clients to cope with their lives b explorers’ options ©

make their own decisions psychotherapy is the treatment of emotional behavioral, personality

and psychiatric disorder. Based primarily on verbal or non-verbal communication and

interventions with the client/patient in contrast to treatment using chemical and physical

measures. Simply put.

Psychological distress through talking, rather than drugs. Participating in psychotherapy offers a

number of benefits for the clients. It us usually helpful to have somebody who really does

understand you. Therapy may give the client a fresh perspective on a difficult problem and direct

the client toward a solution. Most clients/patients will say that the benefits of psychotherapy

include: being able to understand yourself and your personal goals and value better. Helping the
3

client overcome certain problem such as an eating disorder. Depression or anxiety. Obtaining a

solution to the problem or concerns that made the clients seek therapy. As a counsellor at all

times must help, and not hurt client. The guiding principle is to first DO NO HARM” 1cor 3:16

know ye not that ye are temple of God and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you” God dwell in

the human spirit. Self-dwells in the soul and senses dwell in the body.

The five senses of the body, the body determine what happen around you the foundation for

understanding the total Human being. The secular counselling, whereas the primary focus of

“secular counselling, whereas Holistic counselling embraces the three-dimensional aspects of

efforts must be given to the whole person, not Just one area. A minister concentration must be

body soul spirit 1 Thessalonians 5:23 compassion is the fuel of ministers, the pain which in your

heart.

The biblical news testament reference counselling is talking from Romans 12:8. “or he that

exhorted on exhortation: he that giveth let him do it with simplicity: he that ruleth, with

diligence: he that showeth mercy. (counsel) with cheerfulness”, as a counselor. The gifting and

ability used in the New testament to capture the function the counsellor is mercy”. The ability to

help the afflicted, or the bring help to the wreathed the root meaning of mercy is concerned with

the counsellor’s ability to unearth the hidden dark secrets (VIOLENCE, RAPE, ABUSE AND

ABORTION, ETC) for closure and re-present a remodeled client shaped in the image of God.

The characteristic of effective Holistic counselling is purpose flexibility, respect communication

for the clients, the counsellor is to being their listening good communication, Holistic

counselling parading every human being has mind soul body, God consciousness. The spirit

looks consciousness, how you desert around you communicating with God. The function of the

body, the body is physical, the body was made to glorify God the body is the temple of God 1
4

Cor 3:16 say “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwelled in

you. The Glorification of God we glorify God in your body 1 Cor 6:20 for ye are bought with a

price therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. The function of

soul which our mind emotion, affection, desire and sensing (Luke 1:46) and may said, my soul

about doth magnify the Lord. The soul is responsible for mind Holistic counselling is concerned

with adopting a through approach to the need of the client’s special attention should be given to

addressing the needs of the spirit soul and body. In addition, holistic counselling is dealing with

or treating the whole of something or someone and not just a part.

As counselling you have Goals and their Goals counselling are self-understanding. It means to

understand oneself is often the first step in healing, many problems are self-imposed, but the one

being helped may fail to recognize that he/she biased perspectives, harmful attitudes or self-

destructive behavior. The counselor must have communication that mean many problems at a

personal as well a relational level involves. Inadequate or a total breakdown in communication.

The counselee must encourage to communicate feelings thoughts and attitudes both accurately

and effectively in counseling learning and behavior is learned, counselling, therefore, involves

helping counselees unlearn in effective behavior self-actualization helping persons achieve and

maintain their optimal potential, provide goals and to function effective except for temporary

periods of unusual stress or crisis, continue in the Goal of counselling spiritual wholeness

helping people deal with the their spiritual struggles and find meaningful beliefs and values.

These Goals is being able to understand yourself and your personal goals and values better. The

Goals help the client overcome certain problems such as an eating disorder, depression or

anxiety. In our Goal the effect of Biblical counseling Behavior change is probably the easiest

type of change to recognize because it is overt and observable. A behavior change might be the
5

solution of a problem, as in the case of a child who learns to get what he wants from others

through physical aggression. Learning to live with how to cope. Coping ability depend on the

individual’s skill in identifying the questions to be resolved, the alternatives that are available

and the likely results of different actions. Sometimes coping means learning to live with what

one cannot change. An additional function of distress. Many clients enter counselling because

they feel bad and understood

. Their level of emotionally distress may relief from their psychic pain. Change that occurs in

counselling can influence feelings, values attitude thoughts and actions. A familiar story of Good

Samaritan (Luke 10.25.37) when researched, clearly reveals some profound insights into the

process of care that are needed to help hurting individual. And Jesus answering said, A certain

main went down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his

raiment, and wounded him, and departed him half dead

. The condition of this client is clearly captured below as reflected, Holistic counselling

concerned with adopting a thorough approach to the needs of the client special attention should

be given to addressing the needs the spirit, soul and body. In addition, holistic counselling is

dealing with or treating the whole of somethings or someone and not Just a part. And the very

God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be

preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians (5:23). When I

study this story, I recognized the Good Samaritan would be the counsellor and man that was

wounded need medical attention the client was also abandoned physically, socially emotionally

and spiritually, and the counsellor also understand that he was also wounded physically.

Emotionally and spiritually.) the Samaritan assessed the situation and was moved with

compassion, he had compassion on him compassion is the fuel of ministry, represented as your
6

pain is within my heart. The Samaritan help this man that was wounded, and was abandoned.

This client was abuse physically and the Samaritan he investment his time, he stopped to give

assistance and in process endangered his own life, this popular road was a haven for robbers, the

Jericho Road as a seventeen miles Journey of violence and oppression, they key counselling

concept is was developing a relationship of trust and confidentiality. He went beyond the duty of

his forerunner, the priest and Levi. The Samaritan show warmth empathy and acceptance by his

presence. Empathetic understanding refers to the counsellor’s ability to perceive accurately “the

feeling of the clients and the communicate this understanding to them.

Samaritan Gate from his care transportation in Context from the counselling perspective will

involve the giving of alternatives solution answers moving and clients from towards desired

goals. The consular must be resourceful and proficient at the diagnostic and remedial curative

level we must bring the client to an end he went the distance the primary goal of the Samaritan

was to provide a climate of safety and trust. The foundation principles of counselling skills that

underpin the effectiveness of counselling skills that are needs tool and gender hope people

commit suicide because they have no hope clarify at work with client’s goals.

As it can help the client make sense of their current experience in relation to their core belief and

value also as a counsellor help the clients to develop and sustain some kind of all for the future

as a counsellor must be able to listen aggressive listening this is the ability to restate accurately

the content and the feelings of the message active listening is it vital skill to counsellors and

other Healthcare professional it involves listening to a focusing on what the other person is

saying with the whole of you evolve understanding what has been said including the emotional
7

content and significant of the words and reflecting back the meaning so that the person doing the

part knows they happy understand.

Samaritan applies his Talent Samaritan law on his transportation the Samaritan gave from his

treasury. Samaritan demonstrated unconditional positive regard and being judgmental the

Samaritan Gear from his career his transportation time is it in precious and effective counselling

has able to schedule plan and organized his or her affairs with prudence to be affected in this

area ministry counselling experience clients to explore their present levels or functioning and

what needs to be done for them to achieve their personal goals well counselors focus on the goals

which year clients what would achieve consequently a client it's ready to benefit from

counselling.

When they have acknowledge the need for a counselling when they are motivated to participate

in counselling relationship the termination of therapeutically relationship is not translated as lot

of support or care however sessions are pampered of as desired and agreed goals are reached by

intent and default the foundational principle of conservation skills that underpin the effectiveness

of counselling as a counsellor you must pay attention to the context of the problems and possible

Solutions recognizing that factors and events outside the therapeutic relationship itself may have

very significant impact counselor need to in engender hope we not only want to talk about you as

a counsellor you should spend 1 hour or 45 minutes with your clients, there should be a clock in

the room as a counsellor you must speak the truth in Love.

Speak the truth in love create one of these of a problem your clients. Define the problem as a

counsellor you are sometimes at a loss as to where to start especially round a presentation

problem as many faces the Jesus model provides us with a multidimensional approach the

biblical reason for problem are you shape and develop lives. A problem is a condition that is
8

difficult to deal with or hard to understand. Problem produces growth and development be grown

but sadly they don't develop. As your account seller if 5 years your seem to need your prayer the

same way he has to do with attribute you got to connect with people you got to let people know

you care you don't want to grow you want to develop. We need to understand for development

we need some chain challenges Ephesians chapter 2 21-22 Romans 5:3 4 and 5 1 Peter 4:14. The

three-principle stage of counseling or exploration new understanding and action giving

attendance listening and challenging change your mindset the client must be the first priority. Is

a way of thinking it controls you it should be noted that counselling process is not your fixed or

rigid one but fluid and spontaneous as the need you as a counsellor you change the mindset it

does not have to be that way in the exploration stage, the counsellor develops a warm

relationship with the clients thus enabling him or her to explore the problem from the clients ,

the skills involved are giving attention listening and active listening.

Active listening helping is a client recognize team maybe a person who think negative about

themselves as a counsellor you must be good listening and give them that attention so that you

can focus and help the client to be specific. In development in new understanding the client is

help to see strengths and Resources he or she might use, so as counsellor are you listening you

will be able to recognize a deep mindset of your client as you listen so that information he or she

will be able to develop clear understanding of your client inner stimulate actions the process

doesn't end with the counselling session, it continues through implementation of the plan.

Of action evaluation of results. As a counselor you must follow up, you built up the person to

live on their own so that they can have the goal and dream. John 16:13 the Spirit of truth is come

he will guide you into all Truth or he shall not speak of himself that whatsoever he shall hear that

shall he speak and he will shew your things to come. So as a counsellor I will be speaking to my
9

clients in love that what the Spirit of God lead me to speak to him or her the Holy Spirit let me

down the path to speak to my client so that he or she must observe and access include follow-up

counselling making materials is farming the chain of command and taking corrective measures.

What worship have to deal with counselling. Worship has to do it servant hood, a Christian and

as a Christian counsellor you should be spending time with God, worship take place at the feet of

Jesus. True worship is preoccupation Jesus you have to stand before God.

The lady broke the alabaster box and poured all its content on Jesus, you don't know the course

of the oil in her Alabaster Box, when the place of worship exceeds our economic entitlement

nothing is too cost precious for Lord, true worship more concern with giving, her worship was

given to Jesus, the woman came to give common she left home knowing Fulwell what her

offering was going to be like and they're not need a prompting or cajoling from others to

worship.

Worship is not concerned with receiving something from our large as give us something to him

common worship involves the emotions as a counsellor challenge yourself not all to say I want

but Lord I give, the worship of this woman was without one word, perfume have been part of this

woman's tools of her trade it, she may have enjoyed herself and her bed, no she was eager to

empty for the most noble purpose and anointing feet of the saviour.

An instrument of passion was turned into a tool of worship, worship is not easily hindered she

genuinely pours out her heart to Jesus and as a Christian counsellor you need to spend that

quality time with Jesus worshiping at his feed, so what the Lord poured into you, you can poured

in your client. Worship at feet of Jesus acknowledge. His greatness and our unwariness.
10

What I gather from this Journal that as a counsellor over all the above we need to pattern our life

like Jesus, what Isaiah wrote in chapter 53 refer to the Lord Jesus outward appearance, he did not

come to His people in grand style and royal glory. His build and appearance were not

conspicuous for externally, he did not stand out from other people, yet there was one difference.

He was the only sinless person psalm 45 speak of His normal beauty that became visible in his

conduct. There was never a man as patient as Jesus, He always remained calm and tool time to

the affairs of other people, dealing with the problem, as a counsellor we must took time out of

our client and create a relationship and be a listener.
