Staying up all night to decorate the Bride Shavuot

On Shavuot, marital relations are forbidden both by day and by night, as Rebbe Shimon

bar Yochai states in the Zohar: (I:9a) we must stay up the whole night of Shavuot

learning Torah. This is because on the night of Shavuot we are preparing ornaments for

the Matron (Bride)

Lev. 23:15-16 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the
sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering;
seven sabbaths shall be complete:

Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty
days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD .
First day of the Omar Count should have been April 12 the 7th Sabbath is May 30th
May 31st at evening to evening 1st of June to evening 2nd of June is Pentecost.
