This is really simple to do on comcast, and please don't try uploading custom configs anymore (thats if
you have been trying). All you need to do is go to the sigma-x main page ( http://192.168.100.1:1337 )

Under the "basic" box, type in d10_m_sb5100_speedtierextreme2_c05.cm

for Config File, then hit change.
Type in 68.87.68.11 or 68.87.68.12 or 68.87.68.14
for Config TFTP IP, then hit change
disable Filters, Forced Network Access, Watchdog Resets, HFC Firmware Updates.
enable Stealth mode and Baseline Privacy. You MUST enable Stealth mode each time you reset the
sb5100.

You must enter two DNS Server IP's to avoid the comcast registration page. Go to your TCP/IP
properties. Click on "Use the following DNS Server Addresses. Type in 216.148.227.68 and
204.127.202.4 for the alternate.
The above DNS Server Addresses are official Comcast DNS Server Addresses. If you find them to be
too slow, you may want to try 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 for the alternate.
 Keep your serial number to 24 digits, and your mac address should start with either 00:12:25 or
00:0C:E5 . When you change your sb5100's mac and serial, make sure you give your network card (if
you're using one) a new mac address as well. [FOLLOW THIS TUT:

You can no longer upload custom or legit configs in general in most regions that support comcast.
You should get close to 20Mbps down and close to 2.5Mbps up with this configuration, it's (VERY)
decent.
