Sub: Honouring and Felicitation of children of MUI members

Every year, 25th June, 2019 is declared by International Maritime Organisation (IMO) as “Day of the
Seafarer”.

As part of celebrations on this day, the National Maritime Day Celebrations (Central) Committee
(NMDC(C)C), constituted under the Directorate General of Shipping, will be felicitating children of MUI
members, who have won awards in various fields such as education, sports, innovation, invention,
entertainment and such others, in Mumbai.

The award received has to be either on state, national or international level.

This is to encourage them further and show the world that they are children who have made their
seafaring parent/s and in turn, our shipping fraternity proud. MUI would be very happy to receive
nominations of such children.

The children will be felicitated after scrutiny of the applications by a committee.

The following details would be required :

 details of the awards won at the State, National or International level (copy of the
certificate, photograph of the presentation)
 details of the child – name, age
 copy of the CDC of the seafarer
 birth/school certificate of the child
 address, telephone number, email id of parents and child.
