ADJUSTING 9WR-SERIES BLADE PITCH TO 30 DEGREES

Important – The fan is balanced in the original configuration using additional washers, nuts,
and, or longer bolts. It is important that the hub, retaining plate, blades, bolts and washers be
returned to their original location to ensure consistent fan balance.

1) Mark the original position of the hub, retaining plate, and number all blades and positions.

2) Locate any additional washers, longer bolts, bolts with multiple nuts and mark their position
accordingly. They may occur on more than one bolt position. These are the balance weights.

3) Remove all the hardware, discarding the nylon-locking nuts.

4) Disassemble the hub, and retainer, and then remove the blades.

5) Place the new 30˚ pitch insert at the base of the blade as shown below. The pitch insert will fit
properly when pitch indicator dial is visible from the blade base.

6) Replace blades to their original hub position ensuring that the pitch insert tab fits into the indent of
the hub.

7) Replace retaining plate to its original position as match-marked in Step (1).

8) Use new stainless steel 5/16”-18 nylon-insert nuts from replacement kit.

9) Replace all nuts, bolts, and washers on the fan hub to their original positions, making sure to replace
balancing weight as identified in Step (2).

10) Tighten nuts and bolts to 15 foot pounds of torque.
