Sir:

I have written this letter to express my desire in resigning as your house-helper for over 4 years.
Please understand that the reason why I am doing this is not because of the way you have treated me
nor how heavy the workload is. In fact, I am very much grateful to you because you have done so much
for me. This move was purely on me because I feel I was shortchanging your goodness when I can’t
come on some days you needed me. What you need Sir, is a full-time houseworker who will stay with
you in the household from Monday to Saturday so you won’t be having much problem whenever you’ll
need your worker and I’m afraid I can’t give you that because I prefer staying out and I love staying in
the Saikung area. I want you to know that this is not a sudden urge of action. My heart has already been
captured by your children. I have thought of this decision many times.
 
It was indeed a fun time working with you and the kids but just like every book, one must reach
its end to start a new chapter. This resignation will be effective after July 31 so you’ll have time finding a
new helper. My contract will be ending on August 13, 2020. After this, I might be resting for a while and
will not sign another contract on another employer.

I hope you find this decision of mine meritorious!
