A. Interest

1. If Lilia paid 980.00 in interest at 14% for 2 years, how much money did she borrow?

2. Luz paid 1,080.00 in interest on a 3,600.00 loan she got from the credit union. The term of the loan is 3 years.
Find the rate.

3. Manny lent Cesar 1,000 at 12%. Cesar promised to pay Manny 3 months from March 1, the date of the loan.

B. COMMISSION

1. Alex is a straight commission salesman. He is given commission on the basis of the following schedule:

50,000 -99,999 2%
100,000 – 149,999 3%
150,000 and above 4%

2. Roger is a sales engineer receiving a basic monthly compensation of 13,500 and commission on all sales of 1%.
Compute for his gross earnings for the month if he sold 124,580.00
