food lab Kolkata and central food technological research institute in Mysor in both these places
testing of adulterated food is carried out.
_ Fruit product order (1946)- Revised in 1955. It is inforced by the Department of health.

3)To, Set packing, marking, labeling standard for milk & milk product and their containers.
4)The registration number of the packing unit must be written or embossed on the containers.
5)All these above rules they are set by Ministry of Agriculture and Department of animal
husbendary, Dairy, and Fisheries.
International laws
2)Buero of Alcohol and Tobacco- It is under the Department of Commerce and regulate
Alcoholic beverages.
3)Environmental protection agency (EPA)- It ensure that safe pesticides are used in foods.
a)I also ensure honest packaging and honest labeling of the food product.
b)It ensure that food supply should not readulterated, mislabeled, diseptive or falsely
guarentte.
_Activities of FDA –
1)It works in industries to help in interpretation of the regulation.
