NARRATIVE ON SCHOOL ECHO WEBINAR ON THE


DEVELOPMENT AND UTILIZATION OF PRINT AND NON-PRINT
PIVOT LEARNING MATERIALS IDEA MODEL
JUNE 24, 2020

     DepEd affirms its commitment through “Sulong Edukalidad


Framework” the agency through the Bureau of Curriculum Development
developed the MELC to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education
and promote lifelong learning opportunities to all despite the COVID-19
pandemic.

In line with this, L&D Team headed by School Principal, Mrs.


Cherrylyn H. Dayao and L & D coordinator, Dr. Analyn G. Bato
conducted a school echo webinar on the development and utilization of
print and non-print pivot learning materials idea models. The registration
started at 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Webinar formally started at 1:00 in the
afternoon with an opening prayer led by Mrs. Ma. Luisa P. Tobias a
grade five teacher, followed by the singing of the Philippine National
Anthem, Bacoor Hymn, and Bacoor City vision, mission and tagline
recitation. A roll call of participants was conducted by Ms. Marites F.
Mateo a school guidance counselor. Our school principal Mrs. Cherrylyn
H. Dayao gave her opening remarks and welcomed everyone with her
inspirational message. To make the webinars systematic, Mrs. Ednafel S.
Serrano reminded us of the rules during this webinar. Evaluator Mrs.
Jemma M. Perdon reported us the evaluation rsults of the previous
webinar. 

 Mrs. Judith C. Alejandro, Master Teacher I, discussed the


importance of MELCs in each learning area and grade level in which
these were needed by each learner to learn, understand, use and apply
in an environment/situation of varying contexts. She also mentioned the
standards LCs that teachers must focus on in terms of delivery and
assessment, the process of identifying the MELCs, and DepEd MELC
guidelines.

Dr. Analyn G. Bato, Master Teacher I, started her topic in


presenting the objectives of the lesson exemplars using the IDEA
instructional design. She engaged us in an activity that made us alive.
Regional Memorandum Order No.10, s. 2020, and guidelines on the
preparation of PIVOT I-D-E-A lesson exemplars were presented. Parts in
ADM modules were also explained. In line with the preparation for the
opening of classes, teachers should make a PIVOT lesson exemplars to
be checked by school head, and master teachers.

In the end, the participants were equipped with knowledge and


skills in the preparation of lesson exemplar using the I-D-E-A
instructional process, lesson exemplar preparation in the new normal,
and provided lessons using the idea of the instructional process.
