One of Georgia’s first public Charter Systems, Gordon County Schools continuously implements innovative practices

comprised of six elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools, as well as a College and Career

language. Gordon County Schools is sensitive to the special
needs of its students, offering an award-winning staff in the
Exceptional Student Services department for students with
disabilities; the district has adopted a healthy eating program
across the school system, with new and improved healthy menus;
students with all types of allergies are monitored in the district’s
peanut-free elementary environment and in secondary schools
by nutrition staff, nurses, teachers, and administrators.
