A. Course Design

Course Title: HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATION - HYDRAULIC EXCAVATOR

Nominal Duration: 156 Hours

Qualification Level: NC II

Course Description: This course is designed to equip individual with the basic,
common and core competencies in Construction Sector
particularly in Heavy Equipment Operation – Hydraulic Excavator.

Trainee Entry Requirements:


 At least 18 years of age
 Physically and mentally fit
 With good moral character
 Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing
 Must be able to perform basic mathematical computation

TRAINING FACILITIES:
The hydraulic excavator operation workshop must be made of reinforced concrete or
steel structure. The size must be suited on the requirements of the competencies. The class
size of 25 students/trainees is reserved for the lecture room and the practical demonstration
area for carrying out minor Hydraulic Excavator parts maintenance. Most of the learning
activities are performed individually in the students/trainees work area.
