COMPETENCY-BASED CURRICULUM
A. Course Design
Qualification Level: NC II
Course Description: This course is designed to equip individual with the basic,
common and core competencies in Construction Sector
particularly in Heavy Equipment Operation – Hydraulic Excavator.

The assessment methods shall adhere to the training design and directed by the
principles of Competency-Based Training. The following assessment methods will be used to
measure the students’ improvements on the qualification:

Resources:
TRAINING FACILITIES:
The hydraulic excavator operation workshop must be made of reinforced concrete or
steel structure. The size must be suited on the requirements of the competencies. The class
size of 25 students/trainees is reserved for the lecture room and the practical demonstration
area for carrying out minor Hydraulic Excavator parts maintenance. Most of the learning
activities are performed individually in the students/trainees work area.
