The result of the Aptitude test ‘Corporate Aptitude Test D1’ conducted by Konfidence on 30th Dec
2010 as part of the aptitude training program for the 2011 batch is given below. The test consisted of
35 questions (35 marks) to be answered in 60 minutes. Right answers were given +1 mark and wrong
answers were given -1/3. This test is designed in the model of the latest pattern followed by TCS.

Recruiters usually keep a cut off mark to select prospects to the next round of the selection process.
It is commonly seen to be in the range of 30% to 50% of the maximum marks depending upon their
requirements. For this test, we have looked at a cut off of 30% (i.e., 10.5 Marks).
The students that make the cut off when it is kept at 30% (10.5 Marks) are

• When the cut off is kept at 40% (i.e., 14.0 marks), Only 15 students clear the cut off
• When the cut off is kept at 50% (i.e., 17.5 marks), Only 7 students clear the cut off

Dear Students,
Note that most of you who made the 30% cut off missed the cut off when it was increased to 40%. If
the cut off is kept at 50% (i.e., 17.5 marks) only 7 students clear that level. This calls for an earnest
and meticulous preparation from your side. It is important that all of you keep practicing on your
own. Do not get upset by the results. Use it constructively to plan your preparations. The next two to
three weeks are going to be extremely crucial for your preparations and we hope that you will spend
that time productively.
We strongly recommend that all of you who are participating for the TCS recruitment drive visit the
TCS website and download the pattern of test given there. Ensure that you are able to solve similar
problems. It has been observed that TCS asks at least some questions in the similar pattern provided
there.
