Vision
The vision of Grameen Koota is to impact poverty by bringing all mainstream financial and 3
capacity building services to poor households in a sustainable manner.
Mission
To help poor women in rural areas and urban slums through micro credit, to work
themselves and thereby their families out of poverty. To constantly deliver need-based
financial services in a cost-effective manner and to become a financially sustainable
microfinance institution for the poor.
Goals
It aims to reach 20 per cent of the poor households in the State by 2010 and one million
clients by 2012.
Products and Services
Products and services
Grameen Koota’s products are simple, be it related to credit or insurance, and are designed to facilitate easy
record keeping and tracking. They are also subject to periodic modifications based on the feedback from
clients and inputs from the staff. Since its clients are largely from the economically weaker sections,
collateral free microfinance is provided.
The thrust of a loan across all its optional categories is on the emergency requirements of a poor family and
the scope for entrepreneurial activities.
