Following Reasons:-
i).Incorrect Entry of Username/Password:- In many cases it was observed that the usernames or passwords were wrongly
entered
(ii) Disconnection due to late payment of bills.
(iii) Authentication Server at NIB is not Functional:- If the authentication server is down due to any reason, the said error
is reported. In such a case the whole area will be receiving the same error and can be set right to normal condition only by
NIB , BSNL at sector 17,Chandigarh.
(iv) Shifting of Telephone along with Broadband Connection
(v) Port Binding:- In case the telephone line is port bound with the dataone username, and if you are trying to access the
connection from other telephone line than that of the original line,

Error 815
Line and CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) Problems:-
CPE includes Modem and personal computer/Laptop at customer home
i) Blinking of ADSL/DSL link lamp due to interchange of connections from the splitter. On
splitter Put Direct Line coming inside your home from outside pole/DP on LINE jack.Now
connect your phone with phone jack on splitter and Modem(Adsl) with ADSL/Modem jack
on your splitter. Even if Line has distortion/disturbance then also DSL will
blink.inform line man of your area and get rectified your line disturbance.A cordless phone
normally creates problem of noise/disturbance.Remove cordless Phone first for such
problem.
ii) Failure of working of splitter also create ADSL blinking or No ADSL. To check this…by
pass splitter by connecting modem directly on the Direct line coming at your home by
disconnecting it from LINE jack of splitter. If ADSL is ok on direct connection then change
your splitter with new.
iii) In case DSL is OK then system may be infected with Spyware,Virus…Try Different
PC/Laptop.
For adding IP, go to *** Start>Control Panel>Network and Internet options>Network and
sharing centre. Some Window vista has Network and sharing centre directly while some
have Network and Internet options. Click on it and then select Network and sharing
centre.On left side of screen in TASK….select “Manage Network Connection”. Then on
Local Area connection/Wireless Network connection.
Right click on Local area connection/ Wireless Network connection and click on Properties. Then
Click Internet Protocol IPV4 (TCP/IP) under General Tab. By default “Client for Microsoft
networks” will be Highlighted…..choose Internet Protocol IPV4 (TCP/IP).It will get highlighted
and then click on Properties button and select “use the following IP address”
Fill IP address: 192.168.1.4 (you can write 5 to 254 instead of 4…..i.e.
192.168.1.5 or 192.168.1.6…)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Also ADD DNS address if you want to use PPPOE mode i.e. many PCs simultaneously.
Then click “ OK” and then click “CLOSE”.
Also look for Local Area connection/Wireless Network connection for Red CROSS(X)
(Network Cable unplugged).procedure to go to Local Area connection is given above***.
i) May be wire between modem and PC is not connected properly…..Reconnect wire again
or
ii) Your LAN card is faulty….contact your computer administrator to Replace LAN CARD
iii) Also double click on Local Area connection to check whether it is receiving/sending any
BYTEs. If anything is zero ‘0’ byte then change your LAN Card with new one.
Error-769
Either your Local Area Connection/Ethernet Card/Network Card is Disable or its Driver are missing.
i).For enabling go to Start>Control Panel…..as given above(***) till
Local Area connection…..either Double click on it or Right click on it through mouse and
select ENABLE.
If Local Area connection ICON/symbol is not present then contact your computer provider
to install its driver etc.
Now go to
NOW again Right click at Wireless Network Connection and click on “Connect/Disconnect
wireless”. you will get the signal/modem name depending on your made make e.g. UTSTARCOM,
ITI, MT841 etc…select and connect it…any then click save automatically.
Make broadband icon as discussed above…and click connect after putting username and password
provided by BSNL in it.
