1. Discuss the difference between the Traditional and Modern school supervision and administration
and cite two examples based on your own experience and observation.

According to my own research from different sources particularly on the power point presentation
given, I would say in my own understanding that the difference between the traditional and modern
school supervision and administration is the approach that they give. The first one focuses on the
teachers with much more attention on inflexible training while the latter focuses on education as a
whole especially to the students who are the most important element and the life blood of school.

For examples based on my own experiences 6 years ago, the head of our school who had happened to
be my boss has her own set of rules on how to manage the students. I didn’t even have a chance to
show and apply my own teaching and disciplining techniques. Apart from that, there is much more
pressure on my side as a teacher. On the other hand, when I was assigned in a tutoring center to teach
more students, I was able to be trained with the right skills and the focus is more on the development of
the children. As addition to my observation, I can say that the modern training of the tutoring center
gave me the opportunity to have my own business.

2. Comment on the case presented in slide no. 48 by answering the question raised in the said case.

First, I frankly disagree with the first sentence of the quoted

line. For me, as a leader, you should truly have the qualities
of a legit leader and not to pretend at all. To answer the
question, the effect of this behavior is a total chaos. It will be
followed by the members of the team knowing that the
statement is from a leader that they should follow. The
consequence is a crystal clear disaster.

3. Comment on the case presented in slide no. 54 by answering the question raised in the said case.

Well, personally, for me it’s okay. We are just playing roles in

our own jobs. It is fine to do such things when outside the
school and just make sure that this is a legal matter. It’s a free
will and has nothing to do with your functions as long as it
doesn’t affect the team’s goal.
