“Ding~Dong”).
2-2) When either one of the two door generates an initial alarm, it continues to generates the alarm in the
initial alarm frequency until both doors are completely closed.
2-3) The initial buzzer alarm is generated for about 15-20 seconds 2 minutes after the door is opened, and
the alarm is continuously generated in 2 minute frequency when continued to be kept open.
2-4) The alarm sound is immediately stopped when both the freezer and refrigerator doors are closed.

with a separate test key.
1-5) When the forced operation is canceled while in progress (changed to cancel mode), the COMP ON time
of the forced operation is deleted and it starts to retime 10 hours from the canceled point.
1) The COMP (interfaced with F-FAN) is turned ON unconditionally irrelevant from the internal temperature
for 5 minutes when the power is connected initially, and then it is turned ON/OFF by the freezer sensor. At
this time, when the freezer sensor has an error (short, open), it repeats the operation of turning ON for 25
minutes and OFF for 35 minutes irrelevant from the freezer temperature.
2) When the freezer sensor is detected to be normal during the emergency operation of 1), it immediately
recovers to the normal condition by the control of the freezer sensor.
14
3. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS & INSTALLATION
1) When the power is connected, the initial self diagnosis function is executed, and turns on all LED display for
2 seconds when it is normal.
2) When a defective sensor is found among the temperature sensors as a result of the initial self diagnosis, the
applicable LED continues to be turned in frequency of 0.5 seconds.

13. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
13-1. Power
The AC220 V power is decreased in voltage through CN70 to L V T (DC-TRANS), and this power changes to DC
voltage via rectification diode (D1~D4). And then it is smoothed through 1000uF/35 V capacitor to output stable
DC 12 V through regulator 7812, which is used as the operating power of relay and PC B. And it is used as the
input power of 7805 to control MICO to be used for refrigerator control.
Oscillating
Terminal
frequency
Xin(#2) 4MHz
Xout(#1) 4MHz
The internal logic components of MICO are oscillator circuit to generate clock for synchronization and time
calculation to receive and send information. When the specification of X-TAL changes the time calculated in
MICOM changes or will be disabled. Therefore you must use rated parts and rated specification.
51
13. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Terminal Voltage
V cc DC 5 V
Reset DC 5 V
The reset circuit is the circuit that initializes all the program function by initializing various parts including RAM
inside MICOM when the power is connected or when the power is connected to MICOM after instant power
outage. When the power is connected, the voltage of the rest terminal becomes “Low” condition for several μsec
compared to Vcc (DC 5 V) of MICOM, and in normal operating condition, it is maintained to “ High”
(Vcc voltage) condition.
When the refrigerator or freezer door is open, the R-door S/W contact point becomes closed. At this time, the
current of PC B line flows to the photo coupler (PC817) via R703 and D701 to “11” or “9” of CN71 to operate
PC817. At this time, a square wave of 50 or 60 Hz is generated in the MICOM port.
MICOM recognizes this square wave to detect the open condition of the refrigerator door.
When the refrigerator or freezer door is closed, the R-door S/W contact point becomes open. AT this time current
does not flow to PC817 and the MICOM terminal maintains DC5V to recognize that the refrigerator door is
closed.
52
13. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Sensor uses the characteristic of reduced resistance when the temperature is high and vice versa by using the
thermistor with a temperature coefficient of negative resistance.
C301~303, R302, R304, R305 are parts to prevent the noise and are not relevant to temperature detection
characteristics.
For the F-sensor, when the voltage inputted to MICOM is considered Vf, Vf=(Rth* Vcc)/(R301+Rth), where Rth
refers to the resistance of terminstor corresponding to the temperature. Refer to the sensor resistance and
voltage calculation table for the temperature in the Appendix, and also refer to the table for A/S since it includes
the MICOM terminal voltage for the corresponding temperature.
53
13. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
2) Key scan
When the grid #1 wave is outputted, the signal is supplied to SW No. 1 through panel PC B resistance of
R1 10K . At this time, when you press SW1, the signal is decreased by R504 (1K ) and R505 (8.2 K ) to
provide peak to peak voltage of 4.5V to MICOM.
Then the MICOM judges that wave form of GRID #1 has been inputted to change the function applicable to
SW1 key. The wave form of each GRID is recognized in the same way.
54
13. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
In the condition to supply the power to each main PCB line as shown in the following circuit, the “ High” signal
from MICOM PIN No. #26 is sent to the input terminal of IC04 (SIP2655/ULN2006) for the compressor
operation. Then the IC is turned on and the current flows through the output of IC04 with 12 V (DC 12 V)
connected to one end of the COMP relay to the GROUND for the CORE of the relay to generate a magnetic
field to turn on the contact point and connect AC input voltage (AC 220 V ) at both ends of the load to operate the
compressor. When the signal is “Low” for MICOM PIN #26, the IC04 is turned off to disable the current flow to
the coil of COMP relay to turn off the contact point of the relay to stop the compressor operation.
The defrost relay is connected to the circuit so that it operates only when the compressor is turned off, and separate
operating method has similar conditions as the relay operating condition to be controlled by the MICOM PIN #25 signal.
1) Diode circulit
2) Operating principle
From the GRID terminal that is generated only when the power is turned on initially, it takes the output from the
connected circuit as input through the switching diode to make a decision on the option through the matrix method.
* When changing the option, always turn the power off before changing the condition and connect the power again.

▶ Separate the housing connected to CN30, Cn50 of main PCB and check
▶ Because it is a NTC type sensor, the resistance decreases as temperature rises
1. Measure the resistance between 8 and 10 of CN50 for the freezer sensor.
2. Measure the resistance between 8 and 9 of CN50 for the defrost sensor.
3. Measure the resistance between 1 and 2 of CN30 for the external sensor.
4. Compare the above measured value with the temperature table of the current temperature of each sensor location
and part specification of the manual to make the judgment.

→ If there is a trace, replace the part or take necessary measures such as insulation
taping etc.
● After repairing the problem, check the assembly condition of the part.
→ Maintain same condition as before the repair.
● Check the using environment of the refrigerator.
→ When installed in a moist or wet location or when the installed condition is unstable,
change the using location.
● If judged to require grounding, install the grounding.
→ Especially, when judged to have risk of electricity leakage through humidity or water,
always ground the product.
● Do not use multiple number of products in one power outlet.
● Check the power plug and outlet for damage, pressed mark, dent, heating etc.
→ In case of power plug or outlet defect, immediately request for repair.
→ Take measure not to have the power cord dented or pressed by surrounding objects.
● Do not store food unstably or store bottle in the freezer.
● The consumer should never directly repair the product.
● Do not store anything other than food in the refrigerator.
→ Pharmaceutical, chemical sample etc.: Precise temperature control is difficult with
household refrigerator
→ Flammable substance (alcohol, benzene, ether, LP gas etc.): It can cause an explosion
