Onesie Baby Box

Supplies:

Paper: (1) 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Designer Series Paper, (1) 2” x 2”

Coordinating card stock or Designer Series Paper

Punches: 3/16” Corner Rounder, Scallop Circle, 3/4” Circle and

Slit

Extras: 10” piece of ribbon, Mat Pack, Sticky Strip, Glue Dots,
adhesives, scoring tool, Bone Folder.

STEP1: Gather supplies. Score the 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” two-sided Designer Series Paper at 2-3/4”, 4”, 6-3/4”, 8” on the short
end. Score 1-1/4” on the long end for the bottom of the box.
STEP2: If you use a Scor-Pal, align the Designer Series Paper next to the left top corner, score at 4” & 8”. Shift the
Designer Series Paper to the right by 1/4”. Score at 3” & 7”. Turn the Designer Series Paper 90% and score at 1-1/4”.

STEP3: Cut the bottom flaps to the score line. Remove the bottom right corner as it is not needed. Add Sticky Strip to
the outside of the 1/2” flap. Using the Bone Folder, fold all scored lines. If you would like to stamp on the box or add any
embellishments, this is probably the best time to do that.

STEP4: Use the 3/16” Corner Rounder punch to round the corners of the bottom of the box.
STEP5: With the inside of the Designer Series Paper facing you, add Sticky Strip to the two larger bottom flaps.
STEP6: Adhere the side of the box to the Sticky Strip flap.

STEP7: At each side of the boxes, create a valley fold by aligning the corners together and creating a crease. This will
be the indents on the side of the box.

STEP8: For the next step, the sides of the box will need to be in the mountain fold position. The top should be able to
lay flat. Using the Slit Punch (retired), position the punch all the way to the edge of the Designer Series Paper. Make
sure to align the corner of the slit punch with the side crease and the fold. Punch the shoulder corners using the 3/16”
Corner Rounder Punch Alternatively, you can use your scissors to cut the sleeves.

STEP9: The sides of the onesie sleeves are now complete by pushing the fold on the sides of the box to a valley as dem-
onstrated in the picture.

STEP10: Punch a coordinating card stock or Designer Series Paper using the Scallop Circle Punch. The example shows
Whisper White which has been embossed using the Textured Impressions Perfect Polka Dots for the Big Shot. Align the
top four scallops above the top and center of the box. Adhere with adhesive around edges. Cut the extending scallop
circle from the top.

STEP11: Punch the neck of your onesie using the 3/4” Circle Punch. You will only want a half circle to be punched so
position the punch halfway over the middle top of the scallop circle.

STEP12: I like to keep the top of the Onesie Box secure so I add ribbon through the back and the front. It’s both deco-
rative and functional. Using the Mat Pack, trace two holes on the scallop circle for the ribbon. Use a punch or similar
instrument to punch two holes in the front of the Onesie Box. Using the front holes as guide, punch two holes in the
back. This step is optional..

STEP13: Finish the box by removing the Sticky Strip adhesive from the bottom of the box and securing.

STEP14: Thread the ribbon through the box starting from the front of the box. Tie a knot or bow.

STEP15: Secure the top of the box shut by adding two glue dots to the top of the box.

I use these boxes all the time at showers for decorations, games and take home gifts. I’ve also used them for small baby
gifts such as a rolled up pair of socks or shoes. You can make these boxes in all different sizes as well since this is a basic
box pattern. When making larger Onesie Boxes, just use the scissors to cut the sleeves instead of using the Slit Punch.
Enjoy!
