CHAPTER - 15
15 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

15.1 General

The Feasibility Report has been prepared in accordance with the preliminary survey and
investigations. Further details of the project road are being obtained.

15.2 Conclusions

 Feasibility study has been carried out for the following project road

 Pandian Hotal Junction to Chettikulam - Madurai –Natham (Package-1)

(7.300Kms)

 The preliminary proposals and widening options are based on preliminary survey and

Based on the preliminary surveys and field reconnaissances carried out along the project road
of the following proposals are made at this stage of study:

 New construction, concentric and eccentric widening of the existing carriage way of

standard curves to accommodate the design speed and few realignments are also
proposed.
 In most of the location the speed limit is in the range of 100/80 kmph.
 New construction of 1 Nos. of flyovers is proposed. First Flyover (Elevated Corridor)
at Km 0/000 (Design chainage) at Pandiyan Hotel Junction and ends on Km 7/300
(Design chainage) at Chettikullam bypass has been proposed.
