The famous soup diet

CARDIAC UNIT RECIPE FOR WEIGHT LOSS


BASIC FAT BURNING SOUP

2 large tins of crushed tomatoes or used fresh chopped up


2 large tins of Beef Consume – use beef stock cubes and water
1 pkt. vegetable dry soup powder
2 tins of green French beans or use fresh, chopped
1 bunch of spring onions
1 bunch of celery
2 green peppers
1 kilo of carrots

Chop all veggies into small pieces (or put in blender, a lot easier). Combine all ingredients, add salt and
pepper and stir well. Boil rapidly for 10 minutes. Then simmer until veggies are tender. Add water if
necessary or to make a thinner soup. I put it in slow cooker overnight.

This soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want. This
soup will not add calories - the more you eat, the more you will lose. Fill a thermos if you are going out
for the day.

DRINKS
Unsweetened juices, tea/coffee, cranberry juice,
DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

DIET
DAY1:Any fruit except bananas. Winter melon and watermelon are lower in calories than most fruits.
Eat only soup (as much as you want) and fruit today.
Go for a brisk walk.

DAY2:All vegetables. Eat as much as you like of fresh/raw or tinned veggies. Try to eat green leafy
veggies. Stay away from dry beans, peas or corn. Eat veggies along with soup. At dinnertime reward
yourself with a jacket potato and butter. Up and down stairs as often as you can.

DAY3:Eat all the soup you want today. You may have a fruit or small fruit salad for breakfast (but no
banana’s). Don't have the jacket spud! If you have eaten as above for 3 days and not cheated you will
have lost about 2.5kgs. Walk around the block.

DAY4:Bananas and skimmed milk. Eat at least 3 large bananas and drink as much milk as you can. Eat
as much soup as you want. Bananas are high in calories and carbohydrates (as is the milk) but you will
need the potassium and carbohydrates today. Do some form of exercise at least 4 times a week.

DAY5:You may have fruit today to start with. Beef and tomatoes. Today you may have 300-400 grams
of beef or chicken (no skin on) and as many as 6 tomatoes. Eat soup at least once today.

DAY6:Beef and veggies and a fruit. Eat them to your heart's content today. You can even have 2-3
steaks (grilled) if you like with leafy green veggies. No baked spud. Be sure to eat soup at least once
today.
DAY7:Fruit, Brown rice, veggies and fruit juice. Be sure to eat well and eat as much soup as you can.

By the end of the 7th day, if you have not cheated, you will have lost 4-6 kgs. Inactive patients will lose
less because of their inactivity. If you lose more than 5 kilos stay off the diet for 2 days and the start
again at Day1.

NOTES
This 7day-eating plan can be used as often as you like. If correctly followed it will clear your system of
impurities and give you a feeling of well being as never before. After the process you will begin to feel
lighter, by at least 5-7 kilos, and you will have an abundance of energy.

This diet is fast and fat burning and the secret is you will burn more calories than you take in. It will
flush your system of all impurities and give you a feeling of well-being.

No alcohol on this diet


Because everyone's digestive system is different this diet will affect everyone differently, after being on
this diet for several days if you find that your bowel movements have changed, eat a cup of bran or
fibre.

The basic fat burning soup can be eaten anytime you feel hungry, eat as much as you wish, the more
you eat the more you lose, it is a nutritious diet.
Remember- no bread, alcohol, soft drinks of any kind and no fried food or oil!!

Drink plenty of water 6-8 glasses a day along with tea/coffee, skim milk, unsweetened fruit juices,
cranberry juice.
