for concrete, cement mortar and gypsum board. As Supro has maximum

CERAKWOOL/Bio CERAKWOOL -A fireproof ceramic

fiber insulating material
Cerakwool, a fireproof ceramic fiber insulating material, is
essential to heat-treatment facilities including iron and steel mills,
petrochemical and power plants, as well as to the aerospace
industry. With its long fiber length and thin fiber diameter,
Cerakwool renders excellent tensile strength and other superior
properties.
The safe service temperature of Cerakwool ranges from 1,300 to
1,400 C, and even at those high temperatures, the thermal
conductivity stays very low, thus ensuring a surprisingly
satisfactory energy-saving effect. This energy-saving effect leads
to a reduction of fuel cost by up to 25 to 50%. The light-weight

Tempered Glass - Five times impact resistant

KCC tempered glass, applied by heat treatment in a
special manner, is five times as strong and impact-
resistant as general glass. Even when broken upon
external impact, it shatters into only tiny and
homogeneous granular fragments, thus minimizing the
risk of razor blade-like splinters flying in all directions in
the event of a car accident.

Laminated Glass - Strong and safe

Laminated glass, used for the windshield of an
automotive vehicle, is made of two sheets of extremely
homogeneous float glass bonded together with clear
polyvinylbutyral (PVB) film in the middle as a laminate
medium.
Therefore, the driver is offered a clear see-through vision

DGU(Dierct Glazing Urethane) - Excellent adhesive strength

Koreseal is highly weather-resistant to ultraviolet rays, acid rain,
snow and ozone, and is also extremely elastic and anti-corrosive.
Due to their flexibility and superb adhesive strength amid
temperature variations, Koreseal sealants allow for sufficient
movement tolerances in joints while still retaining excellent
product integrity. Korean cars are sold on the export market
worldwide, and most of them have adopted Koreseal products.

Coil Coating Paints

- Widely used in industrial pre-finish sectors
Today’s modern technological and cost-conscious mind has forced

workability with a fast-curing ability. KCC’s products for this PCM
use are available in different resin bases, such as polyester, silicone

Powder Coatings - A 100% solvent-free paint

Karumel is perfectly solvent-free, comes in a solid powder form,
and is available in different end-use products. Due to its superior
physical and chemical properties, Karumel is an excellent solution
to many environmental issues without the need of virtually any
waste water or chemicals at the time of its on-line application.
Fusion Bonded Epoxy powder is recommended for use on steel
pipelines and reinforced steel bars, which again are used at
infrastructure projects where long-term corrosion protection is
essential.

Synthetic Resin - Providing for quality of highest standard

The resins that KCC uses for producing paints are of highest quality
standard and cooked in-house to ensure consistent quality of finally
finished paint products.
The resin production shop is fully computerized and able to turn out
40 thousand tons of various resins per year including epoxy, alkyd,
acrylic and polyester resins as well as unsaturated polyester resins.
These are consumed mostly inside the company as binders for
making final paint products, while unsaturated polyester resins are
sold outside to the FRP fabricators and iron and steel foundry
shops, and so forth.

Elecoat is one of KCC’s specialty paints intended for application
on plastic substrates to effectively shield electro-magnetic waves
from interfering nearby electronic/electrical devices.
Base paints mixed up with metallic fillers(silver, nickel, copper
and/or carbon) and applied on the plastic casing substrate of
devices and appliances, dissipate or shield incoming or outgoing
emission waves.

UV-curable Paints with excellent workability

UV curable paints take only a very short curing time at relatively
low temperatures and the application facility required is relatively

Silanes
are widely used in various industries including electronics, semiconductors
and pharmaceuticals.

Silane coupling agents

contain hydrolytic functional groups reacting with inorganic materials
(such as glass and metal) and organic functional groups chemically
bonding to organic materials (such as synthetic resin). Because of these
functions, silane coupling agents play a role in bonding organic materials
to inorganic materials and in improving mechanical strength, water
resistance and adhesive properties of composite materials. Silane
coupling agents are extensively used in composite applications such as
resins, surface treatment for glass fiber, paints, adhesives, and primers.

Silicone fluids
made from quartz as the basic raw material, are colorless, transparent,
and odorless liquid. Depending on using applications, silicone fluids of
various viscosities from low to high are available. Silicone fluids offer
excellent properties: heat resistance, cold resistance, corrosion resistance,
and relatively small change in viscosity with temperature. Silicone fluids
are used in a wide variety of industries including mechanicals, electronics,
chemicals, textiles, papers, constructions, public works and cosmetics.
Applications of silicone fluids include lubricants, electrical insulating oils,
heat-transfer fluids, polishes, antifoams, textile softeners, water
repellents, and additives for cosmetics.

Modified silicone fluids

are silicone fluids modified with the addition of organic functional groups
to dimethyl silicone fluids. The reactivity and compatibility with organic
materials depend on the type of organic functional groups.

Silicone fluids for cosmetics

are harmless, chemically and physiologically inert and provide excellent
water repellency, compatibility and gas permeability. They are used in a
variety of applications such as skin care, make-up and hair care. Benefits
achieved by the use of silicones include softness, lubricity, and smooth feel.

Silicone antifoams
provide better properties than other antifoams. They eliminate
foams in most of all liquids by only a minimum input quantity and
prevent the formation of foams with long-lasting effect.
Silicone mold release agents
are harmless, chemically stable, and capable of using in wide
temperature range. They are widely used for most of all molded
parts in a variety of industries including rubbers, plastics, metals,
and foods.
Silicone textile treating agents
significantly enhance softness and smoothness of textile and
improve sewing properties by increasing abrasion resistance and
wear resistance of textile. Our main products include textile
softeners, water-repellent agents for fabrics, and various kinds of
silicone softeners suitable for fabrics. Silicone textile treating agents
are used in most of all textiles such as cotton, wool, and polyester.
Silicone grease
is a silicone fluid, combined with thickener (such as metal soap) and
various additives. Because of its excellent resistance to heat and
oxidation over a wide temperature range and water resistance,
silicone grease is used primarily as lubricants. Compared to other
lubricants, silicone grease is more economical. Because it generates
little oil separation, the frequency of oil supply is decreased and only
a minimum input quantity results in excellent performance.

Silicone Resins
have --Si-O-Si chemical structure as the backbone, to which organic
groups like methyl and phenyl are attached. They offer high heat
resistance suitable for using in the range of 180 … to 220 …
continuously and up to 300 … temporarily. Because of a few
functional groups with polarity, silicone resins have excellent
thermal stability and electrical insulation properties. Also, compared
to other resins, silicone resins have excellent weatherability, water
repellency, water resistance, non-corrosive properties, which
perform little change in color and gloss at high temperature. Silicone
resins, an excellent insulating material, are used effectively for steel
structures, chimneys and bridges made of iron, trains, vessels,
stoves and kitchenware. Other applications as the form of varnishes
include wires and coils of electrical equipment.
Silicone pressure sensitive adhesives
are highly functional adhesives that have the unique features of
silicone such as heat resistance, cold resistance, water resistance,
electrical insulation, ozone resistance, low inflammability, chemical
inertness, and anti-pollution. Silicone PSAs have good adhesive
properties at high and low temperature and especially, perform
outstanding adhesion to most of all substrates which other organic
adhesives are difficult to adhere to, such as polyethylene,
polypropylene, polyester, fluoric resin, and silicone rubber.
Silicone paper release coatings
provide excellent release, water repellency, heat resistance, cold
resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance, subsequent
adhesion, and lubrication properties. Silicone paper release coatings
are widely used for release papers like tapes and labels, release
films and synthetic rubbers.

Silicone Rubber(HCR)
is a specialty synthetic elastomer that primarily consists of silicone fluids having
combined properties of organic and inorganic materials, and high purity of silica.
Compared to other organic elastomers, silicone rubber offers superior and excellent
properties: heat and cold resistance, resistance to oil and solvent, chemical
resistance, flame resistance, gas permeability, physiological inertness, and electrical
performance. Silicon rubber is widely used in most of all industries including electrical,
electronics, business machine, automotive, food and leisure.

RTV-1
is a one-component room temperature vulcanizing silicone that cures to silicone
rubber on exposure to atmospheric moisture at room temperature. RTV-1 performs
excellent adhesion to most of all substrates without primers, outstanding
weatherability assuring semi-permanent use, and excellent heat resistance suitable
for using in the range of -50 … to 200 …. With its excellent electrical properties,
RTV-1 is used primarily as adhesive, sealing and coating materials for various
industries including electrical, electronics, appliances, transportation, and mechanical.

RTV-2
is a two-component room temperature vulcanizing silicone. Depending on its curing
mechanism, two types of RTV-2 are available -- a condensation cure type and an
addition cure type. The condensation cure type is strongly dependent of the catalyst
and produces by-products like alcohol, while the addition cure type is dependent of
temperature and produces no by-products.
RTV-2 is capable of deep section cure and its cure rate can be controlled. Also, it
provides excellent electrical insulation, heat resistance, cold resistance,
weatherability, and impact absorption, as the unique features of silicones. These
properties result in superior ease of use for various applications and improvement of
the quality and productivity of finished products. RTV-2 is used primarily as electrical
insulating and potting materials for electrical.

LSR (liquid silicone rubber)

is also called liquid injection-moldable silicone rubber. LSR is a heat-curing rubber, but
it is based on liquid phase and has much lower viscosity than HCR or other
elastomers, which enables to flow into the injection mold easily and continuously and
to make automatic molding. These properties result in higher productivity and cost
effectiveness of finished products.
Because it makes no by-products and has excellent properties, LSR is displacing HCR
in a number of applications.and electronics, vacuum casting mold, and various
forming molds.

Bio-Paints employing high tech bio-science

High-tech bio-science concept has been employed in the
engineering of these insect-repellent and fungus-proof paints. These
products persistently attack only micro-organisms selectively,
without affecting humans in any manner whatsoever. These
products are odorless and efficiently adhesive under highly humid
climatic conditions, and therefore are recommended for use at
research buildings, food processing factories, factories, hospitals,
restaurants, etc., where hygienic and health-friendly environment is
an absolute requirement.

Fiberglass for Reinforcement with high tensile strength

Different raw materials are fused in a melting furnace at high
temperature, and then fiberized through special nozzles to
continuous filaments.
This is what we call fiberglass for reinforcement. Depending on
chemical compositions, fiber glass is categorized into E-Glass, C-
Glass and G-Glass, among all of which E-Glass is the most widely
applied. Although very thin, the individual fiber exhibits tensile
strength higher than that of steel, and is highly resistant to heat and
corrosion. Fiberglass is widely used in various applications including
plastics reinforcement, electrical insulation materials, automobile
and aircraft components, as well as the basic component for new
high-tech materials.

EMC (Epoxy Molding Compound) - Used to encapsulate

semi-conductor chips
Epoxy molding compounds are used to encapsulate semi-conductor
chips and protect them from external impact, humidity and dust. KCC is
the first in Korea that has successfully localized the production of EMC
in collaboration with the leading domestic semi-conductor chip makers.
KCC currently supplies products in different grades suitable for TR -
Diode, LSI and VLSI chips.

KTMC - An insulation materials for electronic and

electrical components
KTMC is an insulation material used for electronic and electrical
components. Available in different types for different end-uses such
as an insulation/filler material for TV flyback transformers, as an
encapsulant for LED, as an insulator for condenser and as an
adhesive for metal-working.
