Run this test before and after repairing a cylinder to confirm a successful repair. Include
printed or electronic copies of the test results with any injectors that are returned to the
factory. Mark injectors with the cylinder number from which they were removed.

Test Conditions
The following conditions must be met for the automatic
Cylinder Cutout Test:

1) Engine Speed must be between 1075 rpm and 1325 rpm

(engine speed will be automatically adjusted)
2) Engine Coolant Temperature must be between 68 Deg C

and 96 Deg C
3) No engine performance related active diagnostic codes
are allowed

If at any time any of these conditions are not met, the test
will automatically be aborted.

Note: Ensure transmission is in neutral or electrical load is

removed from generator set.

Note: Fan cycling, A/C compressor cycling, or changes in

engine load will invalidate this test. 1) If the fan is not
controlled by the engine ECM, please enable the fan if
possible.
2) If the ECM controls the fan, the fan state can be adjusted
after the test has begun.
WARNING: Please make sure the compression brake is in the
off position. During the test, compression brake operation
will cause the engine to surge.
