General Information
Introduction:
Today’s complex engine, transmission and power generation systems demand high quality interactive
classroom and hands-on technical training. We provide affordable training with state-of-the-art
equipment, repair procedures, and live engine, transmission and generator troubleshooting.

Cummins Pacific Training Center classes are sized and monitored to assure proper student to instructor
ratio providing personalized performance based training to all students.

the latest technical information, procedures, and techniques available. This insures each student receives

Enrollment Procedures:

3. Classes are limited to 6 to 12 students, based on curriculum.

Payment Procedures:

1. Prepayment by check or purchase order is required with enrollment request, or presented by the
student prior to the start of class. VISA/MasterCard and AmEx are also accepted.
2. Prior credit approval is necessary for all company purchase orders.
3. Cancellations made less than ten (10) working days prior to the class start date will be
subject to a $100.00 cancellation fee. The balance of the tuition may be applied to a future
training session.
4. If a student does not attend class and fails to cancel with the Training Center, he/she will be billed
for the full amount of the class.
5. Refunds will not be granted after class begins.
6. If, for any reason, the training class is canceled, students may either apply the tuition towards a
future training class, or Request only a refund.

Daily Schedule:
Typical program hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with ample breaks and a one hour lunch period.
Homework may be assigned each evening to help students comprehend the material covered and to
increase classroom hands-on time.

Books, Tools, and Supplies:


Cummins Pacific Training Center provides the manuals and tools used while attending class. The
appropriate handout literature will be given to each student and is included in the tuition cost.

Safety – Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Students must wear clothing suitable for working on engines and other hardware during lab sessions.
Shorts, sandals, and sleeveless shirts are not considered appropriate clothing and will not be permitted.
OSHA regulations require that all technicians wear safety shoes meeting ANSI standards. Safety
glasses and ear plugs will be provided. Side shields for prescription glasses will not be provided
but must be worn. Students attending Power Generation courses may be required to wear PPE as
outlined in the NFPA 70E regulations. Students not wearing proper PPE will not be allowed in the
shop area.

Recognition:
A Cummins, Allison, or Power Generation certificate will be awarded to each student upon successful
completion of the course. In some courses students will be required to take a written test and perform
hands-on tasks, and must make a passing score to receive a certificate.

Lodging:
Payment for hotel accommodations is the responsibility of the student.

1. Warranty Qualification (2005-06 North American Dealer)


A course designed to familiarize the Cummins Warranty Decision Maker with an understanding of proper claim
preparation, documentation, SRT, and procedures. Qualification testing is included.
Virtual College program must be completed before attending.

2. INSITE Diagnostic Service Tool (2006-14Q)


This course is designed to introduce the technician to basic computer operation and software applications
related to troubleshooting and programming today's electronically controlled engines. Technicians will learn
to navigate Cummins InSite within the Windows operating system. They will learn basic functions such as
opening jobs, diagnosing engine problems, programming, and calibrating ECMs.

3. Basic Electronic Engine Diagnostics & Troubleshooting (2006-13Q)


This course is designed to introduce the technician to basic engine operation and electronic engine controls
and troubleshooting. Engine operation portion of course will cover Engine Mechanical Operations, Proper
Engine Identification, Engine Systems Operation and Troubleshooting such as the engine cooling system,
lubricating system, fuel systems and combustion air system. Covered in the electronic portion will be Basic
Electricity Fundamentals and diagnostic tools, Wiring Diagram Familiarization, Electronic Troubleshooting
Trees and a common sense approach to Electronic Diagnosis. The student will be required to use the INSITE
Diagnostic tool, EDS and will become familiar with the Symptom Based Troubleshooting Trees published on
QuickServe On-line.

4. XPI Fuel System Diagnostics (1342)


This course was designed to provide better direction in the diagnostics of the XPI fuel system on Cummins
HD ISX/QSX15 engines. The technician is required to be 2010 ISX15 qualified, and to have completed new
CVC course 1338 in order to attend the 2 day class. The technician will identify the location of the
components of the XPI Fuel System components and their functions, describe the fuel flow through the XPI
Fuel system and test points. The technician will then perform all fuel system diagnostic tests, demonstrating
understanding purpose of new procedures, setup of tooling and analyzing data.

5. Cummins Emission Control System and Aftertreatment (AFTS)


This course is designed to introduce the technician to Cummins Emission Control System and Aftertreatment.
Topics covered in this course will include in-cylinder NOx reduction (EGR), as well as off-engine components
for particulate matter reduction (DOC, DPF), and further NOx reduction (SCR). Also covered will be the
changes in controls, components and diagnostics from EPA 2007, EPA 2010, and EPA 2013 Emission
Standards, as well as a live demonstration of the systems in operation. This course will help better prepare
technicians for diagnostics and troubleshooting of the most challenging sub systems.
Distributor, dealer, and service associate technicians must have at least one full service qualification
among Heavy Duty / MidRange engines 2007 and later prior to registering for class.

6. 2013 CM2350 Engine Qualification (2010 Qualified) (2012-22Q/24Q/25Q/31Q)
This course will cover the changes from 2010 to 2013 Automotive Engine Products. Incorporated in this 3
day course will be the ISX15 CM2350, ISX12 CM2350, ISB6.7 CM2350 and the ISL9 CM2350. This course
has been developed to qualify those who have been previously qualified on the 2010 Automotive Product.
Also covered in this course will be the new Expert Diagnostic System (EDS).

7. ISX15 CM2250 Engine Qualification (2009-37Q)


This course will cover in detail the ISX15 CM2250 Engine. Topics to be covered will be changes to the
ISX15 Base Engine such as the engine gear train, the new XPI High Pressure Common Rail fuel system for
the ISX. Cooled exhaust Gas Recirculation, and CM2250 Control System diagnostics. Also covered will be
the Selective Catalyst Reduction aftertreatment system and the new XPI Fuel System Diagnostics (1342) for
the 2010 automotive product. Also covered in this course will be the new Expert Diagnostic System (EDS).

8. ISB, ISC, ISL CM2150, CM2250 & CM2350 (2006-38Q/39Q, 2009-30Q/31Q & 2012-24Q/25Q)
This course will cover in detail the new 2010 and 2013 MidRange Product. Topics to be covered will be
changes to the ISB, C & L Base Engines, High Pressure Common Rail fuel system, Cooled exhaust Gas
Recirculation and CM2250 and CM2350 Control System diagnostics. Also covered will be the addition of the
Selective Catalyst Reduction aftertreatment system, new for the 2010 and 2013 automotive product.

9. ISX11.9/12 CM2250 Engine Qualification (2010-06Q)


This course will cover in detail the new ISX 11.9/12 Engine for 2010. Course will include tear
down and reassembly of the ISX 11.9/12 Engine.

Note: To be eligible for registration the technician must be previously qualified on the 2010 ISX15

10. ISX/ISM Engine Qualification CM871 & CM876 (2006-30Q & 2006-31Q)
This course is designed to familiarize the technician with the changes made Cummins ISM/ISX engine for
2007. Topics include features and design components. Also included in this course are systems
troubleshooting, wiring diagram interpretation, cooled EGR, VGT, exhaust aftertreatment and practical
application utilizing Insite. Written and practical application testing involved.
Mandatory Prerequisites:
Cummins Electronic Engine Diagnostics or equivalent (2006-13Q) and complete all CVC requirements prior
to attending class.

11. ISLG CM2180 Engine Qualification (2007-28Q)
This course covers the 2007 ISL G engine that operates on compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied
natural gas (LNG). Topics of this course include safety procedures, engine familiarization, scheduled
maintenance, and troubleshooting of engine systems and electronic controls. Students need to have a basic
knowledge in electronic troubleshooting as well as being familiar with the INSITE diagnostic tool.
Mandatory Prerequisites:
In addition to the classroom training, students must complete the Virtual College Library Bulletin #4092070 to
be Qualified on this product.

12. ISX12 G Engine Qualification (2012-35Q)


This course covers the new 2013 ISX12 G CM2180 engine that operates on compressed natural gas (CNG)
and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Topics of this course include safety procedures, engine familiarization,
scheduled maintenance, and troubleshooting of engine systems and electronic controls. Students need to
have a basic knowledge in electronic troubleshooting as well as being familiar with the INSITE diagnostic tool.
Mandatory Prerequisites:
Students should be qualified on the ISX11.9/12 CM2250 (2010-06Q) prior to registering for this class.

13. ISL G/ISX12 G CM2180 Engine Qualification (2007-28Q & 2012-35Q)


This course combines the ISL G and ISX12G CM2180 engine into a week long course. This course covers
both engine platforms that operate on compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Topics
of this course include safety procedures, engine familiarization, scheduled maintenance, and troubleshooting
of engine systems and electronic controls. Students need to have a basic knowledge in electronic
troubleshooting as well as being familiar with the INSITE diagnostic tool.

14. QSF2.8 CM2880, QSF3.8 CM2350 EPA Tier 4 Final/EU Stage IV Qualification (2014-01Q/12Q)
Cummins’ answer to the Tier 4 Final/EU Stage IV engine solutions is the QSF series of engines. This course
will qualify technicians on the full authority electronic controls, High Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) Cummins
wastegated turbocharger, Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (CEGR), and the Cummins Compact Catalyst
(CCC). Training will also include the “Direct Flow air cleaner”, and the QSF 3.8 stand-alone Selective Catalytic
Reduction (SCR) aftertreatment system. This is a hands-on class with attending technicians performing a
complete disassembly, and assembly of a QSF2.8 engine.

15. ISV5.0 CM3230 V104 Engine Qualification (2014-38Q)


This course is designed to introduce and qualify the attending student on the new ISV5.0 CM3230 V8 diesel
engine. Class instruction will include disassembly/assembly the engine, and focus on controls/diagnostics.
Topics covered in this course include base mechanical, air handling, Bosch high pressure common rail fuel
system, exhaust gas recirculation, and aftertreatment systems. Unique aspects of this course include
piezoelectric injector, fuel balance control, injector diagnostics, hydraulic lash adjustors, glow plug control,
CM3230 controls, adaptive learning algorithm, and a chain driven overhead cam system.

16. N.O.W. (National Overhaul Warranty) Qualification (2005-01Q, 2011-17Q, 2013-30Q/31Q, 2015-
34Q/35Q)
ISX Series Engines
This course covers the philosophy of the N.O.W. Technicians will be instructed on proper disassembly and
reassembly procedures using published Cummins parts reuse guidelines and repair practices. The inspected
items are covered in detail. Technicians will be qualified to conduct overhaul of the ISX engine model(s) which
he/she has obtained base engine qualification(s) upon successful completion of this training.

The attending technician must have completed all required CVC training, and have completed full

17. N.O.W. (National Overhaul Warranty) Qualification, (2011-16Q)


ISM Series Engines
Cummins Inc. requires any authorized service location that wishes to perform NOW overhauls on ISM CM876
to have NOW qualified technicians. Topics of discussion include, engine disassembly, inspection cleaning,
proper documentation, engine assembly, and administration of warranty. Attending technician must be
journeyman level and have completed Insite, BETT, all heavy duty Cummins Virtual College courses and have
qualified on ISM CM876 engines. This is a “hands-on” class. Students will perform a NOW overhaul in class.

18. N.O.W. / L.E.O. (National Overhaul Warranty / Local Engine Overhaul) Qualification (2005-15Q,
2010-15Q/31Q/32Q, 2011-07Q, 2015-37Q)
Midrange Series Engines
This course covers the philosophy of the N.O.W. Program as well as a description and plan. Technicians will
be instructed on proper disassembly and reassembly procedures using published Cummins parts reuse
guidelines and repair practices. The inspected items are covered in detail. Technician will be qualified to
conduct overhaul of the ISC and/or ISL engine model(s) which he/she has obtained base engine
qualification(s) upon successful completion of this training.

19. ISX/QSX Midstop Liner Block Machining and Static Injection Timing (2011-15Q & 3114/3115)
This course will train the technician on machining procedures developed for the ISX/QSX Midstop Cylinder
Liner Counterbore Ledge. The technician will be required to properly measure and machine the counterbore
ledge in the ISX/QSX Engine Block. This course will also cover the unique mechanical procedures used in
repair of the ISX engines. Topics to be covered will be: Engine Base Timing Procedures and Front Gear
Train set up and adjustment.

Cummins Marine Engine Training
1. Marine QSB5.9 and SmartCraft 1.0/2.2 (2006-48Q)

This course is designed to give the Marine Technician the classroom and hands on requirement in order to
receive qualification status on the QSB 5.9 engines. The technician will work with INSITE, Data Link Adapters,
and Electronic Control Modules. Marine application requirements, sea trial, marine specific components,
maintenance, operation and installation requirements will be covered. Emphasis is placed on understanding
the Air, Lube, Cooling, Fuel, and Electronic systems as it applies to Marine engines. This course will also
cover SmartCraft protocol and introduces SmartCraft 1.0 and 1.1.

CMC/CMD Performance Troubleshooting Course (Virtual College),

2. Marine QSB6.7 and SmartCraft 2.5 (2011-13Q)

The Marine QSB 6.7 has been developed to prepare our technicians to both understand and repair the new
QSB 6.7 marine diesel engine. Also covered will be the SmartCraft 2.5. This course has been developed to
prepare our technicians to both understand and repair the new SmartCraft vessel control system. Covered in
the course will be, history of the SmartCraft protocol and the place SmartCraft 2.5 will assume in the
SmartCraft hierarchies, proper CAN bus configuration in relation to the different junction boxes and CAN
termination protocol. We will discuss the new hardware components: five way connector, CCM10, extension
harnesses, and VIP panel loopback caps. We will utilize the different service tools such as G-3, INSITE, wire
schematics, QSOL, and the CMD web site to perform the different testing and troubleshooting procedures.

Cummins Power Generation
1. Fundamentals of RV & CM
The Fundamentals of RV and Commercial Mobile course covers basic RV and Commercial Mobile alternator theory,
controls theory, installation procedures, maintenance procedures focusing on generator set performance, and
general troubleshooting. Breakout tools and InPower for consumer products will be introduced. Most RV and
Commercial Mobile products will be covered, excluding specially configured products, such as 3200QD. Technicians
will get credits for course No. 6285 after successfully completing this course. This course is required by the RV and
CM genset qualifications 2014-55Q, 2014-56Q, 2014-57Q, and 2014-58Q

2. Fundamentals of Engines
The primary purpose of this course is to teach CPG technicians the basic troubleshooting principles of gasoline,
gaseous, diesel engines and electronic fuel injection engines for Cummins/Onan consumer genset products, such as
RV, commercial mobile and marine. Then to apply those principles practically to troubleshoot and repair
Cummins/Onan products. Technicians will get credits for course No. 6218, 6220, 6222, 6224 and 6287 after
successfully completing this course. This course is required by the RV and CM genset qualifications 2014-55Q, 2014-
56Q, 2014-57Q, and 2014-58Q, as well as marine genset qualifications 2015-18Q and 2015-19Q

3. Fundamentals of AC Generators
This course covers the theory of AC generator operation, automatic voltage regulation, and applying the theory in
hands-on troubleshooting and servicing. This course covers a wide range of basic service, maintenance, and
troubleshooting topics which apply to the P0, P1, UC and HC frames of AC Generator manufactured by Cummins.
Technicians will get credits for course No. 6241 after successfully completing this course. This course is required by
the generator frame qualifications 2013-21Q, 2013-22Q, 2013-23Q, as well as Rental Towable qualifications 2014-
49Q, 2014-50Q

4. Fundamentals of Automatic Transfer Switches (OTEC)


This course introduces the Cummins Power Gen Automatic Transfer Switches to service technicians. This course will
cover the basics of ATS controls, mechanisms, safety, common major electrical components and basic theory of
operation. Product specific, hands-on course covering the OT 40-1200A mechanism. This course will cover the
hardware, wiring sequence of operation, service procedures, and troubleshooting of the OT 40-1200A mechanism.
Technicians will get credits for course No. 6237, 6238 and 6239 after successfully completing this course. This course
is required by the OTEC qualification 2008-14Q

5. Fundamentals of Power Command Controls


Fundamentals of Power Command Controls introduces the Cummins commercial generator set Power Command
Controls to service technicians. This course will cover the basic subsystems, controls hardware, safety, sequence of
operation, configuration, and troubleshooting of the PC1.X, PC2.X and PC3.X with a focus on PCC1302 control.
Technicians will get credits for course No. 6283 after successfully completing this course. This course is required by
the Power Command Control qualifications 2008-08Q, 2008-13Q, 2013-11Q.

6. Fundamentals of Network Communication I
Fundamentals of Network Communication I covers the basics of network communications including PCCNet, Modbus,
and the PCC 500/550 remote monitoring system. Technicians will apply the network knowledge to connect network
components and setup the communication among them. Technicians will also learn about network troubleshooting.
Technicians will get credits for course No. 6302 after successfully completing this course. This course is required by
the network qualifications 2013-24Q, 2015-20Q

Technicians must have completed Fundamentals of Power Command Controls or equivalent

7. Fundamentals of Network Communication II


Fundamentals of Network Communication II introduces the participants to the network communication with FT10,
LonWorks, LonMaker and Ethernet. Technicians will apply the advanced network knowledge to connect network
components and setup the communication among them. Technicians will also learn about network troubleshooting.
Technicians will get credits for course No. 6303 after successfully completing this course. This course is required by
the network qualifications 2013-24Q, 2015-21Q

8. Inpower
The course teaches participants how to use InPower troubleshoot supported devices. The course teaches how to
download new software to control, change parameter, pull fault history, monitor data over a period of time, create strip
charts which can be emailed to your DFSE or factory representative for analysis.

9. Power Command 3200/3201 Controls (2000-19Q)


This course covers PowerCommand Control 3200 &3201 installation, operation, adjustment, and troubleshooting. We
will also review the menu systems, Voltage Regulator and Governor Adjustments of the PowerCommand Control 3200
& 3201. The technicians will learn where the generator set control hardware is located and the function of each module
in the control. Troubleshooting of this control expands the knowledge of InPower Service Tool software brought to the
class by the participants. Once the students have successfully completed all of the required exercises they will
participate in a written and hands-on qualification assessment.
STUDENTS MUST BRING A LAPTOP COMPUTER WITH THEM TO CLASS EACH DAY.

10. Power Command 2100 (2001-28Q)
The technician will learn the features of the PowerCommand Control 2100. This course also includes a complete
sequence of operation of all of the modes in the PowerCommand Control 2100 operating systems, troubleshooting
practice and installation procedures for generator sets with the PowerCommand Control 2100. In addition, this class
will cover modifications to the PCC 2100 control resulting from the addition of the CAN data Link to communicate on
engine ECM's. Troubleshooting of this control expands the knowledge of InPower Service Tool software brought to
the class by the participants.

11. BTPC Transfer Switches (2001-30Q)


This course concentrates on installation, adjustment, service and troubleshooting of bypass transfer switch. Through
a combination of classroom instruction and practical application training experiences, technicians learn to use wiring
diagrams, manuals and the InPower program to troubleshoot and repair the BTPC transfer switch. Technicians must
have a thorough knowledge of AC and DC electrical theory.
Mandatory Prerequisites:
InPower Course (no exceptions)
Technicians must have completed Fundamentals of Transfer Switches or equivalent
Participants must bring the following to the class:

12. OTEC/OTPC Transfer Switches (2008-14Q & 2000-18Q)


This 5-day course combines Fundamentals of Automatic Transfer Switches and OTPC transfer switch. The OT
mechanism for both transfer switches is the same. In addition to the content of Fundamentals of Automatic Transfer
Switches, this course will cover the controls and troubleshooting skills for OTPC, including using InPower to do
adjustment, monitoring and troubleshooting. In addition to the credits for Fundamentals of Automatic Transfer
Switches, technicians will get credit for course No.6050 for Power Command Transfer Switch Control, which is
required by OTPC qualification 2000-18Q.

13. 20KW CMSD (2009-42Q)
This course covers repair and diagnostic functions for the CMSD 20kW (HDKAW) GenSet. Training will
highlight the 4 pole brushless generator, electronic governor systems, new digital control systems, and
the new compact blower style cooling system. This class concludes with written and practical application
qualification testing.
Prerequisites: Inpower Service Tool

14. Digital Master Control (DMC) 1500 (2011-25Q)


This course covers installation, operation and troubleshooting DMC1500 Digital Paralleling System. Topics for this
course include: Fundamentals of paralleling in Isolated Bus and Infinite Bus applications. Sequence of operation in
Automatic, Semi-automatic and Manual paralleling modes. Digital Master Control components, operation,
adjustments and troubleshooting, DMC architecture, set up, HMI screens and schematics. Troubleshooting and
diagnostic methods are emphasized. Familiarization with the MCM 3320 or DMC 1000 is required for this course.
Mandatory Prerequisites:
Technicians must have completed Fundamentals of Network II or equivalent

15. Tier 4 (ECO T4) (2012-44Q)


This course will introduce the student to the Tier 4 capable high horsepower exhaust aftertreatment system. The
goal is to provide the participant with instruction and information necessary to perform installation, maintenance, and
troubleshooting of the system as well as to create an appreciation for the purpose of the system and its function.

16. RV 3200 Quiet Diesel (2009-26Q)


This 3-day class covers main features of the RV3200 quiet diesel genset and operating the genset with control
panel. Technicians will get familiar with the Hatz 3.2 diesel engine and the generator specs, as well as AC and DC
wiring and customer connections. Technicians will also learn about how to view faults and service information and
apply the information for troubleshooting.

17. RLC 20-60 / RLC 10-40 (2013-25Q & 2014-44Q/2015-24Q)


This 4-day course is for experienced power generation technicians with Cummins distributors or channel 1 dealers.
It covers PC1.1 Controls, QSJ2.4 Engine, Kubota and Cummins B3.3 Diesel Engines, AC Alternators and RA 100
and 200 ATS. Technicians will learn about key engine and genset components, such as fuel system, control,
sensors, as well as troubleshooting and repair skills.
Mandatory Prerequisites:
You must be qualified for Power Command Control 1X, and complete the following online courses prior to coming to
class:
6261 Basics of Troubleshooting, 177 Basics of Power Generation, 6058 Inpower familiarization
Required Equipment:
Laptop with Inpower Onan 9.5 (www.buyinpower.com) and GCP Display software (from the dealer portal:
http://www.starsalestips.com/arrow).

This 2 day course is designed to instruct the technician on performing maintenance level service and repairs
on Allison 1000 and 2000 series transmissions. Additional topics include general transmission diagnostics
and troubleshooting. Upon successful completion of WBT and classroom instruction, attendees receive
TCM Reprogramming Certification which can be provided to SPX-Kent Moore for Allison DOC™
Reprogramming activation.

2. Allison 3000/4000 Maintenance Training (TT-34-MA01.0FAC)


This 2 day course is designed to instruct the technician on performing maintenance level service and repairs
on Allison 3000 and 4000 series transmissions. Additional topics include general transmission diagnostics
and troubleshooting. Upon successful completion of WBT and classroom instruction, attendees receive TCM
Reprogramming Certification which can be provided to SPX-Kent Moore for Allison DOC™ Reprogramming
activation.

3. Allison Legacy Transmissions Maintenance Training (TT-AMH-ST01.0LEG)


These 2 day courses are designed to instruct the technician on performing maintenance level service and
repairs on Allison AT or MT or HT series transmissions. Additional topics include general transmission
diagnostics and troubleshooting.

4. Allison 1000/2000 Transmission Overhaul Training (TT-12-OH01.0FAC)


This course is designed to instruct the technician on performing complete overhaul procedures on the
Allison 1000/2000 and 3000/4000 series transmissions. Additional topics include specific details on failure
analysis and update information. Upon successful completion of the WBT and classroom instruction,
attendees receive Allison Transmission Overhaul Factory Certification on the respective product covered in
each 2 day session.

8. AT500-MT600 combined Maintenance & OH Training (TT-AM-OH01.0LEG)


This 5-day combined Maintenance and Overhaul class provides an understanding of the AT500 and MT600
transmission operation, construction, service requirements, and troubleshooting. Training topics include
planetary gear and clutch theory, power flows, torque converter theory, and valve body component
description/operation. Lab activities include group teardown/rebuild/assembly with a focus on component
comparisons between the two models. Technicians successfully completing the training will receive credit for
the following Allison E-Learn Training Paths:

9. Allison 1000 & 2000 Service for Fleets (EU-12-ST01-0CUS)
This one day class is designed instruct the Fleet technician on performing maintenance on Allison 1000 and

10. Allison 3000 & 4000 Service for Fleets (EU-34-ST01-0CUS)


This one day class is designed instruct the Fleet technician on performing maintenance on Allison 3000 and
4000 series transmissions. Additional topics include general transmission diagnostics and troubleshooting.

11. Allison 3000 & 4000 Retarder Training (TT-34-RE01.0CUS)


This one day class provides an understanding of the Allison 3000 and 4000 transmission retarder operation,
construction, service requirements, and troubleshooting.

12. OFF Highway 5/6/8/9000 Maintenance Tech ILT (TT-OFF-MA01.0FAC)


This 3 day course is designed to instruct the technician on performing maintenance level service and repairs
on Allison 5/6/8/9000 series transmissions. Additional topics include general transmission diagnostics and
troubleshooting.

13. OFF Highway 5/6/8/9000 Overhaul Tech ILT (TT-OFF-OH01.0FAC)


This 2 day course is designed to instruct the technician on performing complete overhaul procedures on the
Allison 5/6/8/9000 series transmissions. Additional topics include specific details on failure analysis and
update information.

14. Allison DOC Training


This program provides an understanding of the operations, specific electronic input/output functions and
circuitry, mandatory vehicle interface connections, system diagnostics/troubleshooting, and reprogramming
selected parameters. Specifics of the Allison DOCTM include navigating through the tool's computer screens;
using the demo mode, graphics monitor, and strip chart options; and accessing specific troubleshooting
manual pages within the tool. Proof of certification must be submitted to Noregon to receive authorization to
activate the reprogramming function of the Allison DOCTM.

Tao Guan - 14 years with Cummins Inc.


Ms Guan has held engineering positions in Cummins Light Duty Diesel Engineering, Heavy Duty Engineering, and
Cummins Power Generation. Her specialty is with engine fuel system, lube and cooling system, and engine integration
with genset. She joined Cummins Pacific in 2014 as training manager.

Bob Garcia – 38 years of experience in the Midrange, Heavy Duty and Alternative fuel Engines fields.
Mr. Garcia has been a journeyman technician, shop leadman, assistant shop foreman, shop foreman, owned his own
Repair business, shop supervisor, high horsepower field service technician, and he is currently an Instructor in our
Southern training center.

Rene Azares - 38 years of experience in the Trucking Industry / 14 years with Cummins.
Mr Azares has been a Technician and Shop Foreman. He is well versed in Troubleshooting and all phases of engine
repairs. He was a Field Service Technician for 10 years and several years as a Technical Support Engineer. He is
currently a Distributor Field Service Engineer for High Horsepower, Heavy Duty, MidRange, and Light Duty Engines
as well as an Instructor.

Ron Pasquetti - 31years experience in the Heavy Duty Engine and Allison Transmission fields.
Mr. Pasquetti has been a technician and shop foreman. In addition he has previously held the Customer Support and
Dealer Development Manager position for Allison Transmission Products. He is currently our Technical Support
Manager and Instructor for Allison West.

Michael Jones - 34 years of experience in the power generation field.


Mr. Jones has held positions as a power generation field technician, service manager. He has held the position as a
distributor field service engineer for power generation for the past 10 years.

Mike Kievit has worked for Cummins for 10 years, and has been in the diesel engine industry for over 32 years. His
current position is the Marine Distributor Field Service Engineer, with his specialty being in service, repair, and
installation of marine diesel propulsion systems.

William Ong - Has been a part of Cummins Pacific as Natural Gas DFSE. He has over 10 years working with heavy
manufacturing equipment as well as two years working with Cummins Natural Gas engines. He currently provides
technical support for the Natural Gas products for Southern California. He will also serve as Natural Gas instructor for
Cummins Pacific for 2014.

Robert A Bowe -12 years of experience with Cummins in Midrange, Heavy Duty and High Horsepower engines as an
in shop and Field Service Technician. Robert is also experienced in many platforms including Automotive, Industrial
and Marine Diesel, as well as Natural Gas Engines. He recently Joined Cummins Pacific in May 2015 as a Technical
Trainer/Instructor.

Lisa Dulgar - 12 years of experience with Cummins Pacific. Ms. Dulgar started off working in the Customer Service
Center as the receptionist. She then moved on to work as our Cleaire coordinator before taking on the role as Corporate
Receptionist and as a credit support administrator in our accounting department. Ms. Dulgar currently is our Training
Center Coordinator for our Northern and Southern training centers.

Elena Arango – 10 years of experience with Cummins Pacific. Ms. Arango started off working in the Accounts Payable
Department in 2006 with Cummins West Inc, and most recently after the recent merger with Cummins Cal Pacific.
Elena has recently joined our Training Team as a Training Coordinator in May 2015. Elena will be working closely with
Ms. Dulgar for our Northern and Southern training centers.
