LEAGUE HEAD-TO-HEAD: First meeting.

 Orlando City SC fell to their first defeat of the new season in their last match, dropping a 2-1 decision to
the Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on March 7. OCSC opened the campaign with a
scoreless draw vs. Real Salt Lake at home.
 Rodolfo Pizarro scored the first goal in Inter Miami club history, giving his side the lead after just two
minutes, but they eventually fell to a second loss to start the season in their last match, dropping a 2-1
decision to D.C. United at Audi Field.
 The first meeting ever between the clubs will serve as the opening match of the MLS is Back
Tournament.

OCSC: Chris Mueller scored the OCSC goal in the match vs. Colorado, the club’s first on the year.

IMCF: No. 1 overall SuperDraft selection Robbie Robinson collected the first assist of his professional career, in
his second start, in the last match for Inter Miami.

 NYCFC suffered a second consecutive defeat to open the MLS season, both coming by 1-0 scorelines,
falling to Toronto FC at BMO Field in their last league match on March 7.
 NYCFC did win both matches in their Concacaf Champions League round-of-16 tie vs. AD San Carlos of
Costa Rica, winning 5-3 away then taking a 1-0 win at Red Bull Arena in their home leg.
 The Union grabbed their first point of the season in their last match, a thrilling 3-3 draw with Los Angeles
Football Club at Banc of California Stadium on March 8. Sergio Santos and Jakob Glesnes each hit
wonder goals from long range (Glesnes with a direct free kick from all of 40 yards), while Brenden
Aaronson also added a second-half goal. The Union opened the campaign with a 2-0 loss at FC Dallas.
 The teams met twice a season ago, and NYCFC won both. Maximiliano Moralez converted a pair of
penalty kicks then set up a brace from Valentin Castellanos as NYCFC stormed back for a 4-2 win on
June 29 at Yankee Stadium. NYCFC then claimed a 2-1 win in Chester on Decision Day (Oct. 6).
 NYCFC have won eight of the last nine meetings between the teams, including the last four league
meetings in the Bronx, and a matchup in the Knockout Round in 2018, a 3-1 victory at Yankee Stadium

NYCFC: Sean Johnson was credited with eight saves between the posts in the Toronto FC match, his most in an
MLS league game since March 31, 2018, when he had nine at San Jose. His single-game career-high is 10, July
28, 2012, for the Chicago Fire vs. San Jose.

UNION: Sergio Santos also added an assist, his second in his MLS career (in 19 appearances). Both of his
assists have also come while scoring a goal (also: Aug. 31, 2019 vs. Atlanta United). … Jamiro Monteiro
collected his first assist; he had nine in 2019.

 The Impact return to action undefeated on the new season, reaching a 2-2 draw with FC Dallas in their
last match, March 7 at Toyota Stadium, as Maxi Urruti netted both Impact goals.
 The Revolution claimed their first point of the new season in their last match, reaching a 1-1 draw with
Chicago Fire FC at Gillette Stadium on March 7.
 The teams have already met in the 2020 season. Teal Bunbury gave the Revolution an early lead, but
Romell Quioto and Maxi Urruti scored on either side of halftime to give the Impact the 2-1 win on Opening
Day (Feb. 29) at Gillette Stadium.
 The Impact have won the last two meetings at Gillette Stadium, ending a four-game Revolution winning
streak there in the series dating back to 2016. The Impact have a win and a draw from their last two home
games, which ended a two-game Revolution winning streak in Montréal.

IMPACT: Maxi Urruti sits alone atop the MLS Golden Boot standings after the opening two weeks of the season,
with three goals from his first two game. Urruti’s brace vs. FC Dallas marked the fourth two-goal game of his MLS
career.

REVOLUTION: Adam Buksa netted his first MLS goal for the New England tally in their last match. … Brandon
Bye collected his first assist of the season, his last coming last Aug. 24. Bye had two assists in each of his first
two MLS seasons.

Cup title with a 2-1 win vs. Chicago Fire FC in Seattle.
 The Quakes suffered their first loss on the new season in their last match, falling 5-2 to Minnesota United
FC at Earthquakes Stadium on March 7. The Quakes kicked off the season with a dramatic 2-2 draw vs.
Toronto FC at home, as Oswaldo Alanis hit for the equalizer directly from a free kick in stoppage time.
 The teams met twice a season ago. Jordan Morris scored the game’s lone goal four minutes deep into
second-half stoppage time, giving Sounders FC the win Sept. 29 at Avaya Stadium; the team reached a
2-2 draw April 24 at CenturyLink Field.
 Sounders FC have an nine-game undefeated streak alive in the overall series. Sounders FC have come
away with points on each of their five visits to Avaya Stadium (three draws and two victories). The draw in
the first meeting last year ended a three-game Sounders FC winning streak at CenturyLink Field.

SOUNDERS FC: Raúl Ruidíaz scored the Sounders FC goal vs. Columbus from the penalty spot 11 minutes
from full time. … Stefan Frei made his 200th league appearance for Sounders FC, tied for second-most in the
club’s MLS history (also Brad Evans; leader: Osvaldo Alonso, 277).

QUAKES: Magnus Eriksson and Vako Qazaishvili netted the Quakes goals in the Minnesota match, each their
first of the season. … Cade Cowell became the youngest player to play for the Quakes in club history, making his
Earthquakes and MLS debut when he came off the substitutes’ bench to start the second half. At 16 years, 145
days, he surpassed Gilbert Fuentes, who was aged 16 years, 242 days when he made his league debut Oct. 21,
2018.

 Atlanta United made it two wins from two starts to open the season in their last match, taking a 2-1 victory
against FC Cincinnati at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on March 7. ATLUTD opened the year with a 2-1 win at
Nashville SC.
 The Red Bulls also remained undefeated on the new season in their last match, playing to a 1-1 draw
with Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium on March 7. The Red Bulls opened their year with a 3-2 win vs.
FC Cincinnati at Red Bull Arena.
 The Red Bulls have never lost to Atlanta United in six meetings all-time, winning four. The teams last met
on July 7, 2019, reaching a 3-3 draw at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Red Bulls had won the previous
three league meetings, including wins in each of the last two matchups at Red Bull Arena – a place where
Atlanta United has yet to score a goal, in four visits all-time over all competitions.
 Atlanta United did claim the Eastern Conference Championship a year ago, winning 3-0 at home in the
first leg before the Red Bulls took the second leg 1-0 in Harrison.

ATLUTD: Ezequiel Barco and Emerson Hyndman both made it two goals from two games with the ATLUTD
tallies vs. FC Cincinnati … Pity Martínez assisted on both goals vs. FCC, the first multiple-assist game of his
MLS career.

RED BULLS: Cristian Casseres Jr. netted the Red Bulls goal vs. RSL, his first of the year, his last coming last
Aug. 11 at LAFC. It was the fourth of his MLS career, in 28 league appearances.

 Columbus Crew SC gained a second result in two games on the new campaign in their last match,
playing to a 1-1 draw with Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field on March 7.
 The clubs met twice in FC Cincinnati’s inaugural season, over the span of two weeks. They reached a 2-2
draw Aug. 10 in Columbus at Mapfre Stadium, then Crew SC claimed a 3-1 win at Nippert Stadium on
Aug. 25.

FCC: Yuya Kubo scored his first career MLS goal for the FCC tally vs. Atlanta United. Allan Cruz and Jurgen
Locadia netted the goals in the opener.

CREW SC: Gyasi Zardes netted his first goal of the season in the draw with Seattle Sounders FC. Lucas
Zelarayan netted his first career MLS goal in the season opener.
TORONTO FC vs. D.C. UNITED

 Toronto FC remained undefeated on the new season in their last match, Ifunanyachi Achara scoring the
game’s only goal in the 81st minute in his full professional debut for the victory against New York City FC
at BMO Field on March 7. TFC started off the year with a 2-2 draw at the San Jose Earthquakes.
 The win extended TFC’s undefeated streak in league play to 12 games overall dating back to last Aug,
10, now the longest in the club’s history, surpassing its 11-game run from July 5-Aug. 16.
 D.C. United reversed the script and overcame an early deficit for their first victory of 2020 in their last
match, defeating Inter Miami CF 2-1 at Audi Field on March 7. United started the season with a 2-1 loss
to Colorado, who overcame a second-half deficit for the win.
 The teams met twice a season ago, reaching a pair of draws. In the opening encounter May 15 at BMO
Field, TFC took 36 total attempts toward goal – tied for the second-most in a single game in MLS history,
and the most ever from a team without scoring a goal – in a goalless draw. They then played to a 1-1
draw June 29 at Audi Field.
 The teams also met in the MLS Cup Playoffs last year – Toronto FC claiming a 5-1 win in extra time in the
Round One match Oct. 19 at BMO Field. The game was knotted 1-1 after 90 minutes; the four goals in
extra time were an all-time MLS record, both for a single game and for one team.

TFC: Quentin Westberg was credited with three saves in recording his fifth career shutout in the win vs. NYCFC,
his second in the last three league games dating back to last season.

UNITED: Yamil Asad converted from the penalty spot vs Inter Miami, netting his first goal in his return to MLS
and D.C. United, his first in a league game since Aug. 4, 2018.
SPORTING KANSAS CITY vs. MINNESOTA UNITED FC

 Sporting Kansas City rolled to a second victory in a row on the young season in their last match,
defeating the Houston Dynamo 4-0 at Children’s Mercy Park on March 7. Sporting kicked off their
campaign with a 3-1 win at Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
 Minnesota United FC rolled to a second impressive victory on the road in the new season in their last
match, defeating the San Jose Earthquakes 5-2 on March 7. MNUFC opened the campaign with a 3-1
win at the Portland Timbers. MNUFC leads MLS with eight goals scored through the opening two weeks.
 The teams met twice a season ago, each winning on its home ground. Sporting claimed a 1-0 win on a
goal from Erik Hurtado two minutes from time on Aug. 22 at Children’s Mercy Park, then Minnesota
United FC took a 2-1 win Sept. 25 at Allianz Field. The MNUFC win snapped a six-game Sporting
undefeated streak in the league series, all in Kansas City; SKC has won all five matchups at home over
all competitions.
 The teams have also met twice in three years in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, with Minnesota United
taking a 4-1 win on June 12, 2019 at Allianz Field. Sporting won by a 4-0 decision in a fourth-round match
in 2017.

SPORTING: Alan Pulido scored for a second consecutive game in his first two MLS games to send Sporting on
their way in the win vs. Houston. …. Gadi Kinda gained an assist on the Pulido goal before scoring his second
goal in as many weeks. … Sporting goalkeeper Tim Melia was credited with one save in recording the 46th
shutout of his MLS career – the most in SKC club history, surpassing the total of 45 set by Jimmy Nielsen from
2010-13.

MNUFC: Ike Opara netted a pair of goals vs. San Jose, the second two-goal game of his MLS career. … Luis
Amarilla opened the season with goals in each of the first two weeks; he also collected his first MLS career vs.
San Jose. … Kevin Molino had an assist vs. San Jose after scoring two goals in the season opener vs. Portland.

 Real Salt Lake has taken a share of the points from both of their matches this season, following a 1-1
draw with the New York Red Bulls at Rio Tinto Stadium on March 7. RSL opened the year with a goalless
draw with Orlando City SC on the road.
 The Rapids have two wins from their two outings to open the season, coming back from a goal down to
defeat Orlando City SC at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in their last match on March 7. The Rapids also
came back from a goal down to win their season opener, 2-1 at D.C. United, the first time since 2012
Colorado has started a season with back-to-back wins.
 The teams met twice a season ago, and Real Salt Lake won both – a 3-2 win May 11 at Dick’s Sporting
Goods Park, and a 2-0 win at Rio Tinto Stadium on Aug. 24. Real have not lost in the last five meetings
vs. the Rapids, winning four, over the last two seasons.
 Real have a 17-game home undefeated streak alive vs. Colorado. Since the Rapids’ last win in Utah, a 2-
0 victory on April 30, 2007, at Rice-Eccles Stadium, Real have won 13 games with four draws. Colorado
has never won at Rio Tinto Stadium (0-11-4 all-time in league play). RSL has won the last two meetings
in Commerce City; they have come away with points on seven of their past 10 trips there (five wins, two
draws, dating back to 2013).
 The rivals play for the Rocky Mountain Cup, a trophy awarded by the supporters’ groups of both teams.

REAL: Damir Kreilach hit for the equalizer in stoppage time vs. the Red Bulls, the only goal scored this season
by Real. … Aaron Herrera recorded his fifth career assist, making the 50th league appearance of his MLS
career.

RAPIDS: Younes Namli scored his first MLS goal to pull the Rapids level in the Orlando City victory. … Drew
Moor headed home his first MLS league goal since 2017 for the game-winner. … Keegan Rosenberry collected
an assist for a second consecutive game, the first time in his MLS career he’s had assists in back-to-back games.
Rosenberry has had a single-season career-high three assists in each of the last two seasons.
LOS ANGELES FOOTBALL CLUB vs. HOUSTON DYNAMO

 LAFC remained undefeated on the new season in their last match, playing to a 3-3 draw with the
Philadelphia Union at Banc of California Stadium on March 8. LAFC opened their season with a 1-0 home
win vs. Inter Miami CF; Carlos Vela has scored goals in both matches, after setting the all-time MLS
record with 34 goals in 2019.
 The Dynamo fell to defeat for the first time in the 2020 campaign in their last match, dropping a 4-0
decision to Sporting Kansas City at Children’s Mercy Park on March 7. The Dynamo opened the
campaign with a 1-1 draw with the LA Galaxy at BBVA Stadium.
 The teams met twice a season ago, and LAFC won both, each by 3-1 scorelines – winning July 12 at
BBVA Stadium, and Sept. 25 at Banc of California Stadium.
 LAFC has never lost to the Dynamo in four meetings all-time, winning the last three in a row. The teams
reached a 2-2 draw in their first meeting ever, July 3, 2018 in Houston.

LAFC: Diego Rossi netting his first goal of the season in the 3-3 draw with the Philadelphia Union … Eddie
Segura netted his second career goal in MLS in the Philadelphia match.

DYNAMO: Darwin Quintero made his Dynamo debut vs. Sporting KC, coming off the substitutes’ bench for the
final 33 minutes. … Mauro Manotas has the lone goal this season for the Dynamo, scoring in the season opener.

 The Galaxy began the home portion of their 2020 season with a defeat in their last match, falling by the
game’s lone goal to Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Dignity Health Sports Park on March 7. The Galaxy
opened the season with a 1-1 draw with the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Stadium.
 The Timbers rebounded from an opening day defeat for their first win in 2020 in their last match,
defeating Nashville SC by the game’s only goal at Providence Park on March 8. The Timbers started the
year with a 3-1 loss to Minnesota United FC, also at home.
 The teams met twice last season in league play, each winning on its home ground. Zlatan Ibrahimović
scored a pair of goals, both from penalty kicks, as the Galaxy took a 2-1 win on March 31 at Dignity
Health Sports Park. The Timbers then returned the favor with a 4-0 win July 27 at Providence Park.
 The teams have also met three of the last four years in the U.S. Open Cup, the Galaxy advancing in 2016
with a 1-0 triumph in Portland, but the Timbers winning in both 2018 and 2019, also at Providence Park.

TIMBERS: Diego Valeri scored for a second consecutive week in the match vs Nashville; he now has both
Timbers goals on the new season. … Steve Clark was credited with four saves in recording his first shutout of the
season vs. Nashville, the 33rd of his MLS career, his 10th for the Timbers in 34 league appearances with the
club.

GALAXY: David Bingham saved a penalty kick, the second season in a row he’s saved a spot kick vs.
Vancouver (also doing it last April 5). Bingham saved two penalty kicks last season, his last coming May 24 vs.
Orlando City. For his career, Bingham has seen seven penalty kicks unsuccessful against him in 29 attempts. …
Cristian Pavon has the Galaxy this season, netting in the 13th minute of the season opener.
