ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY

Los Adverbios de Frecuencia (Frequency Adverbs) son aquellas palabras que indican con qué
frecuencia o periodicidad un sujeto realiza determinadas acciones. Estas acciones están
representadas por verbos. (verbs)

Los principales adverbios de frecuencia son: never (nunca), hardly ever (casi nunca), almost
always (casi siempre), seldom (raramente), occasionally (ocasionalmente), sometimes (algunas
veces), often (a menudo), usually (normalmente/usualmente) y always (siempre).

Frente a cada Adverbio de Frecuencia escribe su traducción, luego léelos en voz alta con tu profesor:

Los Adverbios de Frecuencia se colocan siempre después del sujeto y antes del verbo
principal, excepto con el verbo to Be y los verbos modales en los que el Adverbio de Frecuencia se
coloca después de estos.
En las siguientes oraciones, identifique el sujeto y el verbo principal y reescríbalas usando el
adverbio de frecuencia en paréntesis:

ADVERBIO DE FRECUENCIA AL PRINCIPIO DE UNA ORACIÓN: Los adverbios de

frecuencia sometimes, usually y ocasionally, además de seguir las reglas anteriores, pueden ir al
principio de la oración.

Igualmente, los adverbios de frecuencia usually, frequently, often, sometimes y occasionally pueden
situarse al principio o al final de la oración.
Example: -Usually, we see him at school. -I drink beer occasionally.
