Supply Chain Management
An introductory course in the discipline of Supply Chain
Management. The course would enable students to understand and
apply the concepts, methods, tools and techniques along with best
industry practices in supply chain management to real business
situations for effective management of supply chains to achieve
sustainable business growth.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) - At the end of the course, the


students should be able to:
 CLO1: Summarize the challenges and complexity in managing supply
chains. (Understand-Factual)
 CLO2: Analyze cross-functional supply chain management drivers to
improve supply chain performance. (Analyze)
 CLO3: Apply relevant contemporary frameworks to business
situations for developing supply chain strategy. (Apply)

Since students' performance shall be accessed through a continuous system of


quizzes, assignment, group project, presentations and semester-end examination,

Pedagogy employed for the course is a mix of:
 Lectures
 Case study(s) discussion
 Experience sharing
 Class discussion of real world supply chain network design and
supply chain decisions
 Illustrative numerical problems
(In addition, assignments and project shall also be employed).

Students are expected to do chapter readings of relevant topics


before and after the session
