Technical Description

1 Binary Input and Relay Output Module - BXM 2200

General:
This module is:
• a binary input module, which contains 4 groups of 4 channels, each of the 4 groups are isolated
binary input measurement channels, available in the connectors X1 to X4 and
• 8 relay output modules, with change over contacts, available in the connectors X5 to X8.
The digital bus input is at the connector X9 and the extension connector to further modules is at the
connector X10
At an Interface Module IFM 2200 a total of up to 8 modules of this family can be placed in any combina-
tion.
The physical layout is implemented in a module 125,4mm X 216mm and the module shall be mounted
on a DIN rail.

The shield of the extended round-shielded interconnection cables must be

connected to earth (metal structure) in both ends.

If a custom made extended cable is produced, it must be of the round-shielded

type when the length is more than 35 cm.
Within the module chain it is possible to exchange one or two of the standard 4.5
cm ribbon cables with extended cables. The total length of the extended cables
(one or two cables) must not exceed a maximum length of 200 cm.
