Complete the sentence below:

In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to identify
the 3-dimensional shapes, identify parts, draw net, and find the surface.
Pedagogy

Activity The objective of the Smart Board resource is to review learning

objectives from lesson 7.4, by allowing students to answer and
solve questions regarding 3-D surface area.
1st Activity: The teacher will provide students with the required
vocabulary words learned in this lesson and students will
volunteer to match the shapes with its description. The
teacher will select the next slide and see if the students were
correct in their selections. Students will then provide feedback
on incorrect answers and try to show work for correct answers
via Smart Board.
2nd Activity: NCTM Illuminations net activity. Four students will
volunteer to answer the correct net to see if a 2-D figure can be
folded into a 3-D object, each row will be timed and student
with the fastest time and most correct answers will receive five
Josshua tickets.
3rd Activity: Solving Cube surface area, the teacher will provide
the formula and volunteer student will solve problem with
proper unit measurement. Fellow students will assist student
that is working the problem for assistance as needed.
4th Activity: Student will use the net and solve the problem to
show the previous answer is correct. This will allow the
students to see how the formula is applied and check their
answer.
5th and 6th Activity: Student will solve and draw the net for
cylinder problem.
 Upon completion of activity on the Smart Board teacher will
ask for feedback or questions. Each student who volunteers
will receive 2 Josshua tickets at the end of the session.
