and infrastructure. With a collective experience of
over 100 years, Axial Group was always slated to

Competent Scaffolding Person Training

Scaffolding industry in India has grown

consistently when compared to the growth
internationally, adapting more or less similar
scaffolding material, more due to the reason
of India being a manufacturing hub of
scaffolding material. However, the world is
way ahead in recognizing the skill
requirement for constructing scaffold –
evidence that India still doesn’t recognize
scaffolding as one of the prominent trade.
Yet, major accidents do happen on scaffold.
People die. Properties get damaged. Works
get delayed.

Since inception, Axial Group has been delivering the scaffolding safety training complying to the
scaffolding specifications as detailed in Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Building and Other
Construction Workers Act (BOCW) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). Until this
day, Axial has trained more than 1400 personnel as either Competent Scaffolding Person or
Competent Scaffolding Erector. Axial Group’s course under which personnel are certified to build,
dismantle and inspect is titled as “Competent Scaffolding Person” course.

Axial Group meets the statutory requirement as required under Rule 261(1, 2 (a,b) & 3) of Indian
Scaffolding standard and the necessary credentials may be submitted to satisfactory needs of your
organization. Axial Group has adopted OSHA 29 CFR Subpart L 1926.454 as their choice of scaffolding
standard owing to the following reasons:

• Comprehensive guidelines on material selection, construction and dismantling of scaffolds

• Design criteria is part of the standard
• OSHA applicability is universal
• Only standard in the industry to recognize training requirements of Competent Person, Erector and
Qualified person
• Only standard in the industry to recognize User’s role in the successful implementation of
scaffolding standards – specialized User Training module is part of the standard
• Only standard in the industry demonstrating successful implementation of Design and Working

Rigging & Slinging Person

- OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1401, 1404 & 1425

Rigging and slinging is one of the most

difficult, yet unavoidable jobs at any
construction or operating site. Material will
need to be hoisted to work at height,
material needs to be shifted, rigging &
slinging is used in warehouse, onshore,
offshore, rigs, platforms, manufacturing
locations – basically everywhere. Falling
Objects are not a lucrative proposition to
any business, having said that, fall from a
smallest height has potential of damage not
only to workmen, but a considerable
damage to the equipment as well.

Axial Group has been conducting rigging & slinging course according to OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1401,
1404 & 1425. Objective of the course are as follows:

• Awareness of tools and tackles and their applications in Rigging & Slinging
• Using the right tool for rigging job
• Awareness of the limitations, hazards, inspection and maintenance requirement of rigging
equipment
• Acquiring sufficient skills necessary to conduct rigging jobs in safe manner
• Inspecting and quality control of the rigging operations
