All students will demonstrate age appropriate maturity and responsibility by:
● Organizing a binder or folder with all assignments completed, labeled, and sorted into
correct locations when applicable.
●Turning in assignments on time every day in class
●Coming to class prepared with a fully charged chromebook
●Actively participating in all activities
-Emailing the teacher regarding missing assignments or absent/late work
Grading Policies
Assignments will be graded with points. The points will be categorized and weighted as
follows:
Homework/Classwork 40%
Tests/Assessments 40%
Participation/Attendance 20%
Late Work:
Will be accepted for full credit from excused absences.
It is a student’s responsibility to collect all missing assignments the day they
return.
Late work will be accepted until the end of each quarter.
Homework that was not done, or plagiarized will not be accepted.
Make-up tests:
Students have one week to make up any missing tests.
Test Corrections:
Students will have the opportunity to raise a low-test score by correcting missed
problems as additional homework. In addition to correcting problems, students must
explain their mistake using the TOFU error analysis form. Students can receive up to
10% credit. We will go over this again when we take our first test.
Aeries:
Parents and students can monitor their grades by accessing Aeries online or through
the app. Search Aeries Mobile Portal to get the app. If you already have an account,
you do not need to do anything. If you need to create an account, see Ms. Stephanie for
your unique access codes and follow the prompts given.

Extra Help:
Communication with the teacher is very important. Email or text through
REMIND regarding any questions.
Mondays and Wednesdays lunch tutoring is available with Mrs. McCormack.
Bring your lunch with you and show up promptly when lunch begins. It’s not a
place for socializing. I will send interested students a GOOGLE MEET link for
help.
Embarc Online, You Tube, Khan Academy or Apex Learning also provide videos
for reteaching digitally.
Supplies
Supplies are provided by the school, including:
Math Workbook
Chromebook for the school year (With a signed contract)
Spiral Notebook
Protractor
Sheet Protector (as a whiteboard or for Translations in 8th Grade)
Some students like to have their own supplies, therefore the list of items we will be
using in math can be accessed on line at www.teacherlists.com
Academic Integrity
During this time, it is important to stress the importance of academic integrity. We are
well aware of many ways “cheating” can occur digitally. Please always do your own
work and be sure you can explain your thinking on how you arrived at an answer.
