Introduction:
Carolyn-Grand Alumni Homecoming unites the past and the present and to look
backward for a while - to refresh the eye, to restore it, and to render it the more fit for
its prime function of looking forward.

Rodel-It has been 2 and a half decades since our Batch left Academy of St. Joseph
and pursued our lives and careers in different parts of the country and abroad. This
year’s theme “ A Sparkle of Love that Joins us all” provides an unequaled opportunity to
see old friends, meet new ones, learn about the different changes happening in our
beloved Alma Mater and reminisce the era that made us into successful human beings
we are now.
Both-Good evening and welcome to the 70th Grand Alumni Homecoming of our beloved
Alma Mater, the Academy of Saint Joseph.
Carolyn- To begin with may we all rise for the opening prayer to be led by Mrs. Carolyn
Mabasa Layus to be followed by the singing of Philippine National Anthem, Claveria
Hymn and ASJ Hymn, after which will be the presentation of the official dance of
Claveria dubbed as La Jota Claveria by the Academy of St. Joseph Dance Troupe.

Carolyn-We would like to inform everyone that the La Jota Claveria was created by ASJ
alumni namely Mrs. Lilinoe Turda Quina of Batch 1958 and Mrs. Milagrene Turda
Gonzales of Batch 1972. And the Claveria Hymn was composed by Mr. Bart Turda of
Batch 84. May we request them to please stand to be recognized. Ladies and gentlemen
may we give them a big round of applause.
Rodel-To formally open this gracious occasion, may we all welcome the Class
Valedictorian of Batch ’95, Engr. Christine Rafol Llano for the welcome address.

sisters of Batch 95 and Batch 70 thru a VTR presentation.

Rodel-As a sign of love and gratitude to our Alma Mater, Batch 95 is handing our help
for the improvement of the school. May we request our President Engr. Christine Rafol
Llano to hand in our donation to Rev. Fr. Jerome Adriatico, SVD, the school director and
Mr. Remar Agcaoili, the school Principal and Engr. Manayon Martinez, the ASJ Alumni
Association president. But in the absence of Engr. Manayon Matinez, may we request
Crizelda Martinez, the ASJ Alumni Association Vice-President to do the honor.
