Specific Goal: My audience will understand why managing one’s stress can help improve one’s health and output in life.
Stress can will take over control in once life if one does not know how to properly hand the stress.
My Narrowed Topic:
a. Strategy: I will teach my topic by explaining how having a better control stress can help improve one’s health and improve
one’s day to day life.
b. Narrow Focus: stress causes insomnia and mood swings which is bad for one’s health and could properly be handled.
Original topic: stress being bad for one
Narrower topic: stress increasing insomnia and mood swings
Even narrower topic: can be properly handled and dealt with
Ethos: -Primary Ethos: I know a lot of this topic just because since having a back brace I endured more stress over years.
-Secondary Ethos: I will cite different articles and blogs on how stress causes insomnia and affects the metabolism, along
with other factors.
Audience Knowledge Level: Most audience members know how important this topic is due to them having their own experience
with stress and how they deal with the stress themselves.
Adaptation to Audience Knowledge: I will help my audience understand my topic by asking and comparing the stress level they
endure and how they could better handle their stress
[Stress Handling]
Introduction:
with stress is never easy but knowing how to properly handles one stress can improve one’s health and day to day activities.
I. Hook: do you ever get overwhelm with life, too stress to get anything done in your day. Studies show not handling stress correctly
can affect one’s health and throughout day. My presentation today I would like to address different forms of stress, and how they
affect your health. Along I would like to show everyone different methods one could use to better help handle stress to live a better
healthy life.
II. Thesis: better handling stress can improve health and one’s day to day life, rather than feeling like procrastinating.
III. Ethos: I feel very much connected with this topic because ever since 2013 I got put into a back brace and that itself caused so
much stress on me, that I was having a hard time dealing with the stress that I now know how to deal with the stress better,

1.i will cover the effect stress has on one’s health
2. I will cover the effect stress has on day to day life activity
3. I will cover how to better deal with stress
Transition: better understanding one has on how stress is bad for ones health and does affect ones daily life is an issue, but I will also
like to address how to better handle this stress to live a better healthier life.

Transition: after presenting the facts why stress is not ideally well for the one’s health involving sleep and metabolism. I would like
to now address the factor stress has affecting one’s day to day life.
Transition to close: in conclusion it’s safe to say we all experience stress in different ways but do keep in mind we should always
know how to properly handle to stress to reduce ones stress and live a healthier life.
Conclusion:
I. Summarize main points/thesis: overall the main idea of my presentation is to cover why having stress can affect ones
health and affects ones daily life style, throughout it all I will like to address the proper way to handle stress and why its
important to handle stress.
II. Bookend: now seeing how stress can affects one’s health and daily life, should we all learn how to properly handle the
stress.
III. End the speech memorably: remember no stress is too hard to manage without proper exercise and stress relieving
methods.
