Nånåbharañasaµyuktå (who wears various ornaments) and is accompanied by
the bearer of the discuss (Vißñu) who sits with Her. In this way Aparåjitå (She
who cannot be defeated) should be meditated upon.

Goddess of fortune) is the seed (mantra), Bhüvane†varœ (the mistress of the
worlds) is the energy, the attainment of the fulfillment of all things which are
desirable is the goal of the recitation (of this hymn).

bestows the perfect fulfillment of the objects of all desires) (and)
Asiddhasådhinœ (who realizes the impossible).

(who are without limit) (and) Aparåjita (who cannot be defeated). Oh
Pœtavåsas (who are dressed in yellow), Våsudeva (who are K®ßña the son of

Aniruddha (who are unobstructed), Hayagrœva (who are the horse headed

bhüta (ghosts), råkßasa (cannibals), yakßa (male attendants of Kuvera),
gandharva (celestial musicians), någa (celestial snakes), dånava (demons sons
of Dånu), daitya (demons sons of Diti) (and), sura (Gods) and the defects of
the (evil) constellations and stars and other harms, kill kill (them), burn burn
(them), roast roast (them), stir stir (them), get get (them) ruined, reduce

For who teaches this vidyå (mantra) of Aparåjitå, Paramavaißñavœ (who is the
supreme ‡åkti of Vißñu), (or this) perfect great vidyå (hymn or mantra)
remembers, recites, reads, hears, cause others to remembers, employs, extols,
cause others to recite or keeps in hand while moving on the road or with
devotion establishes in (his) house, there will not be any danger from (evil
influence of) Saturn, strokes of lightning, winds and fires, not danger from
rain, not danger from enemies, not danger from thieves, not danger from
snakes, not danger from wild beast, not danger from ocean (traveling) and
not danger from the king.

na tasya råtryandhakårastrœråjakulavißopavißagaralehanava†œkaraña-
vidve†añoccå™anavadhavandanabhayaµ vå bhavet
For him there will not be danger from the darkness of night, from women,
from the king’s family (or entourage), from drinking poisons and (taking)
drugs, from submission to others, other’s enmity, from ruin, from
assassination and from (false) reverence.

(The freedom from all this kind of dangers will be attained) by these
proclaimed, excellent and full worthy mantras.

knowledge), Ekånaµ†a (who are unique or Durga), Umå (who are
splendour), Dhruvå (who are unchangeable), Arundatœ (who are the wife of
Vasiß™ha or a morning star), Såvitrœ (who are a mother or a solar ray), Gåyatrœ
(who are the personification of mantra), Jåtavedasœ (who are all possessor),
Månastoßå (who give satisfaction to the mind), Sarasvatœ (who are eloquence
or the wife of Brahmå), Dhåmanœ (who are the energy channels in the body),
Ramañœ (who are a beautiful wife), Dhårañœ (who ate the Earth Goddess),
Saudåminœ (who are lightning), Aditi (who are boundless or the mother of
Gods), Diti (who are the mother of the demons), Vinatå (who are the mother

(who are dark complexion Goddess), Ya†odå (who bestow fame or mother of
K®ßña), Satyavådinœ (who speak truth), Brahmavådinœ (who speak about the
absolute Brahman), Kålœ (who are a dark complexion Goddess), Kapålinœ
(who bear a skull), Karålinœ (who have a gaping mouth), Karålanetrå (who
have dreadfull eyes), Bhœmanådinœ (who make terrible roars), Vikarålanetrå
(who have terrifying eyes), Sådhyopacayakarœ (who cause the achievement of
what should be achieved), Måtå (who are a mother), Sarvayåcanavaradå (who
bestow all things requested), ‡ubhadå (who are auspicious), Arthadå (who
give meaning or utility to everythings) (and) Sådhinœ (who accomplish

mriyante bålakåΔ yasyåΔ kåkavandhyå ca yå bhavet
Those (women) whose menstrual flux disappear, whose embryo fall from the
womb (suffer abortion) or whose children die, may become women that bear
children.
bhürjapatre tvimåµ vidyåµ likhitvå dhrayet sadå
åbhirdoßena lipyeta †ubhagå putriñœ bhavet
But that (woman) which having written this vidyå (mantra) on birch tree
bark, may always wears it, even tainted by fault, she will beget a blessed
daughter.

bhürjapatre kuµkumena likhitvå dhårettu yaΔ


rañe råjakule dyüte saµgråme ripusaµkule
But who having written (this hymn) on birch tree bark, with red vermillion
powder, may worn it, in battle, in the king assembly, in play (or gambling), in
gathering full of enemies,

agnicaurabhaye ghore nityaµ tasya jayo bhavet


†astra∞ca vårayatyeßå samaye kåñ∂adhåriñœ
in terrible fear of thieves and fire he will ever be victorious. This (hymn)
counteracts (enemies) weapon and lost of land.
