ON PHILIPPINE FOLK DANCES AND BALLROOM DANCES


NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE CULMINATING ACTIVITY IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION 02

Title of the Program:Lecture Demonstration on Philippine Flok Dances and Ballroom Dances

The program starts in a Doxology performed by Mr. Ervin Francia, BCAED student. Then followed by
Philippine National Anthem that performed by BCAED II and selected members of Sinag Banahaw
Cultural Dance Troupe. An open remarks was delivered by Prof. Emelita Cada. Then an inspirational
message was given by our very own president, Dr. Doracie Zoleta Nantes. She said thay we have a rich
culture and different dances that we need to be proud of. She also encouraged us to appreciate and be
proud of having our own culture and dances that we have. She also mentioned that she is planning to
have a dance studio in our university.

1. Cordillera Dance( Dance of the Northern Highlands) victor clado francia

Dance: sinagbanahaw- ibon dance, warrior dance

4. Muslim Dance(Mrs. Sonia D. Abustan. - one million filipinos are muslim, also known as moros,
maranao, maguindanao, samal and tausug, known to its mysticism, royalty and beauty, colorful, singkil
dance- bells are worn on theankles of muslimwhich she gracefully avoids , maranao ..pangalay-
badjaoknown as sea gypsies, Pangsak- yakan: basilan- ethnic dance in the hughlands of muslim, Pigapir-
maranao, lanao del sur, depicts a royal manner of walking among maranao peoole who mainly lived in
Lanao Lake. Sagayan- maguindanao,, cotabato,

Ballroom Dances

After the presentation of all professors of physical educationa, they performed an intermission number.

- UNITY DANCE

The program ended in a unity dance that performs by all the students and faculty members.
