Description:
In today’s fast paced world where every minute there is something new happening around, knowhow of
the current events becomes very crucial. For any and every updates we only rely on social media and
always ignore the traditional media which is still very relevant as on date. The traditional media still is one
the most important component of any media plan and consists of almost 50% of the budget. It has been
there since more than 100 years and there is something right about it which makes it survive and keep
being relevant even today. We don’t even have any basic knowledge about these traditional media and
how do they stand relevant / important in our daily lives. This course will take you through the knowhow
of the basics of the above traditional media and make you know very interesting facts and figures which
will help you understand it from the basics. Attendance as per NUV policy - Assessment as per NUV policy- 
60% internal and 40% end sem. It is mandatory to pass individually in internal assessment and end sem
assessment as well as overall.

Who should take this course?


Students interested in knowing about basics of traditional media and how do this media works and
understanding the importance of these basic traditional media i.e radio | outdoor | print, even in today’s
digital world.

Objectives:
The main objective of the course is make students understand the basics of these traditional media and
important terminologies related to them. Also each is different in its own way to convey the messaging and
how to make use of the best suited for an individual.

 Audio- Video sessions Presentation
 Meeting the industry experts

Learning Outcomes:
 Understanding the terminologies, knowhow of the working of these traditional media.
Advertising on these mediums and how messaging is done as per the medium.
 How best these mediums are suited and the nitty-gritty’s of each medium.
