REMEMBER THE FOOD CONTAINERS.
WHAT ARE QUANTIFIERS?
-We use the quantifiers much, many, a
lot of, lots of to talk about quantities,
amounts and degree. We can use them with a noun (as a determiner) or
without a noun (as a pronoun)
COUNTABLE NOUNS:
How many sweets do you eat?
when using countables nouns we use MANY
Possible answers:
-A lot +++
-Quite a lot ++
-A few +
-Not many -+
-None ---
Full answers:
I eat a lot of sweets +++
I eat quite a lot of sweets++
I eat a few sweets +
I don’t eat many sweets +-
I don’t eat any sweets

UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS:
How much sugar do you eat?
Cuando tenemos uncountable nouns no usamos many USAMOS MUCH!
Short answers:
-A lot +++

I eat a lot of sugar +++
I eat quite a lot of sugar ++
I eat a little sugar +
I don’t eat much sugar +-
I don’t eat any sugar
-We use; How much..? With uncountable nouns, and How many..? With
countable nouns
-We use;
. A lot of with both countable and uncountable nouns for a BIG QUANTITY +++
. Quite a lot of for both countable and uncountable nouns for a MEDIUM
QUANTITY ++
-Not …. Any for both countable and uncountable for ZERO QUANTITY --
HOWEVER;
We can use a lot of in - , ? sentences too:
Do you drink a lot of coffee, I don’t eat a lot of vegetables
MUCH AND MANY
In -, ? sentences we usually use much/many:
I don’t drink much water, Do you drink much coffee
