1 Description of function
1.1
OT lights also referred to as an surgical light or surgical lighthead is
a medical device intended to assist medical personnel during a
surgical procedure by illuminating a local area or cavity of the
patient. A combination of several surgical lights is often referred to
as a “surgical light system”.
2 Operation requirements
2.1 Should operate on 220VAC and shall have battery backup system
for emergency during mains failure.
2.2 Movement should be easier of all the arms and wheels.
2.3
Temperature rise at the surgeon head level should be less than 2 o
C.
3 Technical Specification
3.1 Lux intensity should not be less than 1,20,000 Lux
3.2 Light field diameter shall be above 24cm or better
3.3 Colour temperature should be between 4000 to 4500 K
3.4 Colour rendering index should not be less than 90.
3.5 Depth of illumination should not be less than 100 cm.
3.6 Should have illumination adjustment.
3.7 The light dome shall be compatible for laminar air flow.
3.8
Should have heavy base with atleast 5 swivel Casters. Casters
should be of good quality.

equipment, including all standard tools and lubrication materials,

6 Standards and safety requirements
6.1
Should have safety certificate from a compenent authority
CE/FDA/STQC CB certificate/ STQC S certificate or valid detailed
electrical and functional safety test report from ERTL. Copy of the
certificate/ test report shall be produced along with the technical
bid.
7 Warranty
7.1
Comprehesive warranty for 2 years after the date of acceptance.
8 Installation and commissioning
8.1 The bidder must arrange for the equipment to be installed and
commissioned by certified or qualified personnel.

9.2 Service manual in English
