1.Scope
This specification provides the specification for the Cable with CHAdeMO Quick Charge
connector for EV Applications.

- 1) Case: Solid structure part which is made of die-cast aluminum alloy, and is coated with its surface
by acrylic resin paints.

- 2) Latch: Strength member for locking device with a vehicle inlet, which is made of stainless steel,
JIS G 5121 SCS13 .

Consists of high-incombustibility, -insulation and –weather resistance resin materials, PC (UL94 V-0)

- 6) Power line terminal: Consists of high-conductivity tough-pitch copper, JIS H 3250 C1100,
of which electric contact is silver plated, in order to connect electrically
with vehicle inlet.

- 7) Signal line terminal: Consists of brass, JIS H3250 C3604, of which electric contact is silver
related, in order to connect electrically with vehicle inlet.

- 8) Solenoid : Push-type with resin molded coil.

- 9) Micro Switch: Resin-mold type, which have IP67 degree of protection.

-10) LED lamp : Red color and fair visibility.

-11) EV cable : Structure is described by Table 4 and Fig. 3.

-12) Thermistor:
NTC thermistor; The position is on insulation surface of power line wire, near Terminal End.

The temperature data measured by thermistor shall be reference only and shall not be applied for
signal control of charger.

The following data of the thermistor characteristics are attached (See attachement-1, -2)
(1) The Resistance-Temperature Characteristics by thermistor manufacturer, MURATA
MANUFACTURING CO., LTD.
(2) The temperature measured results of thermistor and thermocouple on the terminal
compression part, under 200A loading.

6 Shipping inspection
Inspection report: Shipping inspection results shall be indicated in inspection report.

7. Packing
Packing style: The product is to be packed into a corrugated carton in order to avoid damage during
transport.
Packing unit: 1 product.

Each package should be marked in a clear and visible way with the following information.

Appendix I: Reference Standards and Testing
The Cable with CHAdeMO Quick Charge Connector for EV Applications complies with
“Performance confirmation document for CHAdeMO Ver. 1.2”, the CHAdeMO Association.
Test items and performances are shown in Table B.

Appendix II: Test methods
Test conditions
- Ambient Temperature of 20±15°C and relative humidity of 65±20%
- Connector or Connector mates with vehicle inlet

4hours. Then put connector into humidity thermostatic -
chamber (humidity:93±25%, temp.: 32±2℃) within 1min.

thermostatic chamber(-40℃×30min) within 5min, then
put the hot water in the mating portion. Hot water shall be
95~100℃.
If connector can not stand the hot water, set forth to that
fact in the instruction manual.
26 Solenoid continuity Run the solenoid continuously for 168 hours (7days) with

load test monitoring the temperature fluctuation.
