This learning module is a resource material for students that serves as a learning guide
and a workbook for students. This module provides key concepts in applied ethics using a more
pragmatic and comprehensive approach. The goal of this module is not just for students to learn
about the various ethical theories and principles; but to be able to dissect between moral
dilemmas and to discern what is ethically right and wrong; and internalize the influence of
integrity to people relationships.
This learning module is designed in three units with equivalent subtopics. Lessons and
topics are presented in various presentations (texts, additional reading requirements, passages,
pictures, graphs, tables, illustrations, examples, case analysis, and videos. Each topic is
accompanied by an activity, a formative assessment, reflections, and the like – which students
must respond on time. Students must take note the schedule of completing modular
requirements based on the teacher’s prescribed deadline of completion and submission.
Learning outcomes (Copy this from the syllabus)
At the end of the semester, the students in GEC 107 are expected to be able to
1. differentiate between moral and non-moral problems;
2. describe what a moral experience is as it happens in different levels of human
Experience;
3. explain the influence of Filipino culture on the way students look at moral experience
and solve moral dilemmas;
4. describe the elements of moral development and moral experience;
5. use ethical frameworks or principles to analyze moral experiences;
6. make sound ethical judgments based on principles, facts, and the stakeholders affected
7. develop sensitivity to the common good, and;
8. explain and internalize the principles of human behavior in modern society at the level
of the person, society, and in interaction with the environment and other shared
resources.

5. COLLECTION/DISTRIBUTION OF MODULES
Distribution of modules will be done as follows:
o Mondays – Criminal Justice Education
o Tuesdays- Social Work
o Wednesdays- Agriculture
o Thursdays- Midwifery
Distribution will be done by a team of three faculty members headed by the
Program Head/Dean.
A nurse is designated to take the body temperature and do the alcohol spray.
6. SUBMISSION OF ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES
Submission of weekly activities must be done during the schedule of distribution
of modules as stated above.
Boxes with subject labels will be placed on a table where students will take turns
to drop the activity sheets in the designated subject boxes.
It is important that activity sheets must be submitted on the dates indicated in the
course outline (Table 1).
After submission of activity sheets, the students will proceed to the module
distribution tables.
