2. Scope:
This procedure is placed as guidance for all rig staff to be able to Test BOP
Chamber.
3. Definitions:
BOP: Blow Out Preventer
4. Responsibility:
Tool Pusher, Driller, Assistant Driller
6. Procedure
6.1 HSE Consideration
Keep working area clean.
Ensure proper placement of hands and fingers.
Barricade the testing area with Hazard/ Barrier tape.
Inform all crew on the ongoing testing operation.
No work to be done on any connection under pressure. If remedial work
is to be done, all equipment needs to be bled-off to atmospheric pressure
1) Carry out function test for BOP before starting BOP chamber test.
2) Ensure accumulator read zero pressure before start BOP chamber test.
3) Place All 3postion / 4 ways valve on neutral position before start the test.
4) Subsequent pressure tests of closing unit systems shall be performed
following the disconnection or repair of any operating pressure
containment seal in the BOP control system, but limited to the affected
component.
5) Chamber pressure tests shall be performed and charted as follows:
a. At least once yearly,
b. When equipment is repaired or remanufactured,
