SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Summary

The research is about the Remediation Strategies of Elementary Teachers

in District I Mangaldan, Pangasinan Towards Non-Reader Pupils.

Descriptive quantitative research design was employed and survey

questionnaire was the main instrument used in gathering data of

remediation strategies of teachers according to their profile. Descriptive

research design was used to study the data they are gathered. The results

from this study indicate that the teachers sometimes used the different

remediation strategy technology in the classroom. The result of this study

showed that there is a significant difference in the Remediation Strategies

of Elementary Teachers in District I Mangaldan, Pangasinan Towards

Non-Reader Pupils across their profile.

1. Many of the respondent belong to the ages 31-40 as indicated by

the percentage of 37%. Many respondents also belong to 41-50

indicated by the 31% and 51-60 with the percentage of 21%, while

very few of the respondents belong to the ages 21-30 indicated by

the percentage of 13%. most of the respondents’ Years in Service

ranges from 1-10 indicated by the percentage of 28%, few belongs

to 11-20 years with 41%, very few belongs to 21-30 years with

18%, while there is respondent who belongs to 31-40years with

9%. Many of the respondents have English as their area of

specialization indicated by the percentage of 34.78%, while very

few of the respondents have Mathematics with 17. 39%, Filipno

with 4.35, General Academics with 17.38% an MAPEH with 4.35%


as their area of specialization and very some have Science as their

area of specialization with 21.74%.

2. Remediation Strategies of Elementary Teachers in District I

Mangaldan, Pangasinan Towards Non-Reader Pupils were always

used with the overall average weighted mean of 3.61.

3. There is a significant difference in the teacher’s age and the major

subject that they took with the teaching strategies they are using

during discussion.

4. There is no significant difference with their years in service with the

teaching strategies they are using.

Conclusion

Based on the findings of the study, it is therefore concluded that

Remediation Strategies of Elementary Teachers in District I Mangaldan,

Pangasinan Towards Non-Reader Pupils always using certain remediation

strategies.

Recommendations

Based on the findings and conclusions, the researchers

recommend the following:

1. Teachers should maintain the usage of different remediation

strategies.

2. Future researchers should conduct a research about the

effectiveness of the different remediation strategies to have more

knowledge about it.
