This trouble shooting guide is based on 14 type, 901 M/B, 65” Interactive LED display
Safety notice

● Many electrical and mechanical parts in this chassis have special safety-related
characteristics. It is essential that these special safety parts should be replaced with the
same components as recommended in this manual to prevent Shock, Fire, or other
Hazards.

● Do not modify the original design without permission of manufacturer.

● Always disconnect the power plug before any disassembling of the product. It may result
in electrical shock.

● Before you begin your repair, be sure to unplug the screen from any power source and
properly ground yourself.
Disassembly

Overview

T-con

LED constant current PCB

Note: If you are not familiar with the structure and circuits of the interactive LED display,
make sure to take some photos in detail before disassemble it.
IR frame disassembly

Note：You may take the IR frame off without removing the screen from wall or stand.
There are 2 locks on the back side of the screen, show as the picture.

You just need to turn and push the locks gently, then you can take off the IR frame as next
picture.
Disconnect the cable for IR frame carefully; it is located at the right-bottom corner.

Make sure to disconnect it
carefully before removing
the IR frame.

The IR frame shows as following picture:

You need only screwdriver (Philips) to disassemble the IR frame, then you may replace the PCB
inside
Front keypad/connect ports disassembly

Front Keypad:

Remove the cover on the backside, then you may see all the keypad PCB.。

OPS module disassembly

After removing the back cover, you may see all the PCBs for the OPS module.

It includes the PCB for OPS power board and connection board. You may also find the power switch
under it.

Remove the back cover, and then you may see the main power board.

Note: the temperature PCB is fixed on the back cover and connected by a wire, make to
disconnect the wire before removing the cover.

Note: To protect the touch screen from damage or scratch, you need to place it face down on a flat
desk with cushion on it.

Above picture shows you the mainly parts after these back covers are removed.
You may open them separately and check the parts that need to be replaced.
T-con and Constant current PCB disassembly

After remove the back cover in the central, you will find both T-con and Constant current PCB.

Open the central back cover, you may see the T-con and LED panel inverter. There are protect
covers on both T-con and Constant current PCB. You need to remove the covers first, if you need
to replace them.

※Different model of panels has its own T-con and Constant current PCB; before replacing
these 2 PCBs, please contact with Hitevision after-service staffs to make sure getting the
correct parts.
Replacing Panel and Glass

Remove the Left/Right back covers and then you may take off these holders(shown as following
picture). Once these holders are removed, the panel can be separated from the frame easily.

To lift up the panel, you may install the hanger on the panel. By holding the hanger, it will be easier
to lift the panel up.

After lifted up the panel, place it on a proper protection (package cushion is recommended). Then
you may replace the panel or the glass.

※Make sure to clean the surfaces of panel and glass before you assemble them. Using
water-free compressed air to clean them gently. Do not splash the air vertically on the
surface.
Disassemble the TV frame

Before disassemble the TV frame, you need to take off the glass first. By releasing screws shown
as following picture, the TV frame can be disassembled.

IR signal test

4-Points models (55” & 65”)

When Pen_server shows disconnected ( ) or shows connected but incorrect writing, the
driver provides a program for testing.

Run PEN SERVER，and click the icon and select “Config…”.

Enable “MultiIR Test” and click “OK” to close the dialog box.

Click the driver’s icon and select “MultiIR Test” to run the IR sensor testing tool as below.
 Start:
Select sub-type as “Auto Recognize” and click “Start”, the test result will show as following:

 Double click above diagram and it will show you the test result in detail:

For example : 0-19 is the number of PCBA, you may double click the diagram to see the detail
information of each PCBA. Double click above diagram again to exit.

The picture on the right side of the test program shows you the number of related PCBA, the
position is exact the same as you may see from the IWB.

Normal

If the PCB is defect or not well connected, it will show you the message as following picture.
 Sender Info:

Green: Normal
Red: Abnormal

The position is the same as you Move your cursor to the red

DrawLine Test:
Click “DrawLine Test” button, show as following picture. You may double click or press
“ESC”key to exit.

Save the test result:

Click the “Save” button and choose the path to save the test result.
6-Points model (70”)

Before using the test program, you need to close the Pen_server first.
6 points test program - USBTestTool.exe

After click “Open Device”, the “Start Testing” function will be enabled.
Press “Start Testing” to begin the test.

10-Points model

For more details, please refer to the document of “How to test IR signal for various Powerboard
and Touchscreen_20150119. pdf”.
Hits for IR Frame trouble shooting
1． Generally, only continuous IR transmitter/ receiver will cause misbehavior of touch or
writing . Individual transmitter/ receiver error will not cause malfunction of touch.

Still working ok.

2． If the test result shows no continuous IR transmitter/receiver error but abnormal

writing/touch, you may move your finger slowly along the area that shows misbehavior.
Then check whether the diagram changes. If the IR transmitter/receiver acts correctly,
the related signal will be lower when your finger blocks it. You need to replace the PCB if
the signal remains no change when the signal is blocked.
3． If the test program shows no signal diagram after you press “Start”, normally it is caused
by the FPC cables at corners. Suggest checking the cables and then testing again.
4． For new 4 points and 6 points model, “Auto recognize” can recognize the model type.
If it doesn’t, re-install “libUSBDriver.exe” will help to enable the function.
Display

Block Diagram：
PCB introduction

Main Power board:

Invert input power source（90-264Vac）, then provides power and activates other PCB.

Main Board:
Typically mangers all the inputs (VGA,HDMI,AV,YPbPr,S-Video,TV,USB media); send signal via
LVDS cable to the panel and outputs for the video. Processes and amplifies the input audio signal
and output to the speaker. Controls the communication between each PCBs.
Interface board:
Allows to connect 2 VGA signal(VGA1, VGA2) and 4 USB input ports(USB 2,3,4,5) for Android
OS.

Front Keypad:
Assembled by 4 parts, which include Function key button, Front Interface, Power button and
Light sensor.

Frequency multiplier（60-120Hz）
Multiplies the signal from Main board and delivers it to T-con via LVDS cables. Supply power
usually is DC 12V, T-con also gets power from it. This Frequency multiplier is only for 120Hz
panels.

Temperature sensor
The Temperature sensor is located on the back cover, it detects the temperature inside of the
display. When the internal temperature reaches to over 80℃ , the sensor will send a signal
to the Main Board to shut down the power.
※once the power is shot down due to temperature is over 80℃, you need to reset the
power switch so you can power it on again. The power reset button is next to the main
power switch.
OPS power board
Invert DC 12V from main power board to DC19V, and supply it to OPS.

OPS connector
Main board can power on/off the OPS by sending signal to this connector, and OPS can also
output image and audio signal to the Main board by it.

Constant current board:

Invert DC 24V to supply power for panel backlight.
T-con board:
T-con board takes image and send it the screen by LVDS cable, which makes it to show up on
your screen. T-con board is connected to the LED backlight

Previous check

Check the various cable connections first.

• Check to see if any cables are damaged or burnt.
• Check to see if there is a disconnected or loose cable connection.
• Check to see if the cables are connected according to the connection diagram.
• Check the power input to the Main Board.

Diagnose

Firmware update

1. Prepare a USB drive, formatted as FAT32. Copy the firmware files to the root of the
USB drive, show as following:

2. Insert the USB driver to any of the USB port for Android OS (USB1 on the front
keypad, or USB2,3,4,5 on the back)

3. Press “source” button on the remote control, then press 2,5,8,0 to get into the factory
mode.
4. Move the cursor and select “Other Options”, after the factory mode shows.

5. After into “Other Option Adjust”, select “Upgrade Mboot”

Confirm to upgrade.

It will show “Upgrade succeed”, after finished.

6. Select “Upgrade Main”

Confirm to upgrade

After confirm to upgrade, the touch screen will reboot automatically

While rebooting the touch screen, it will show u the percentage of update.
※ Caution: incorrect operation will cause M/B defect, make sure to wait until it reboots
automatically.

7. After rebooting, get into the factory mode and select “Upgrade Version”.

After confirm to upgrade, the touch screen will reboot automatically

After reboot the touch screen, the upgrade is completed.
