HVAC Automation Solutions
Using communicating thermostats, room temperatures monitored
consistently and with datas taken comfort conditions can be
provided efficiently and economically.

With timed scenes, night-comfort-standby modes can be

worked in optimum conditions.

To provide air quality, relative humidity rate can be measured

and ventilation system can start-up or shut down.

System can be controlled via phone or internet. Your home can

be in comfort mode before you reach home.

Defects in a system can be reported and prevented.

40

Schneider Electric - BMS – Savas KORKMAZ – 2009 9

Lighting Automation Solutions
With dimmer units, lights can be dimmed according to needs and
energy efficiency can be provided.

With Daylight control (Daylight-Constatnt Lighting),lighting level

can stays stabil and unnecessary lighting can be prevented.

With movement and presence detectors, if there is no one in the

room or the lighting level is enough lights will shut off
automatically.

Garden and surrounding lighting can be controlled

automatically according to light level.
With one button scene control, unnecessary lights can be shut
down and energy efficiency can be provided.

Automation Solutions for Motor Systems
(Shutter-Blind-Pump etc..)
The solar shading and the blinds are used actively in summer
months with the help of sensors those dedects orientation of the
sun. In this way, the direct sunlight to enter into the house is
prevented. Unnecessary work of cooling system is prevented with
this.

Controlling shutters with scene functions according to time and

weather provides heat isolation and energy saving.

Systems which use high powered motors (fan

motors, hydrophore etc..) can be run with soft starters and
frequency convertors so that energy efficiency can be provided.

Control of Electrical and Electronic
Equipments

Electronic equipments like TV-DVD, music sets use energy even

when they are in stand-by mode. These equipments energy could
be shut automatically when you leave the room so that
unnecessary energy consumption is prevented.

KNX Power supplies
General

● REG-K-housing = bus connection via

bus connecting terminal
● Mains connection via plug-in screw
terminal
● Green LED indicates readiness for
operation
● Red LED indicates too high output
current (I>Imax)
● Yellow LED indicated emergency
power supply (devices with
emergency power input)
● Reset button with LED – disconnects
the bus power for approx 20 s to
make a reset of all connected bus
devices
