Test II. Identification. Write the correct answer on the space provide.2 points each.
STATISTICS 1. Used to quantify the phenomena we observe.
DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS 2. The process of making statement on the statistical report
provided.
NULL HYPOTHESIS 3. States the differences between treatments amount to nothing more
than expected variability in the data.
TYPE 2 ERROR 4. It usually occurs when null hypothesis is not rejected.
ONE-TAILED TEST 5. The test is commonly applied to directional hypothesis.
Test III. True or False. Write True if the statement is correct and False if the statement is wrong.
Write your answer on the space provided.
Test IV. Definition of terms. Define the following terms. 10 points each.
1. Aggregation
It is the grouping together and averaging of data gathered in various ways.
Aggregation has four types; Aggregation over subjects, Aggregation over stimuli or situations,
Aggregation over trials or occasions, and Aggregation over measures. It can be used to
increase the external validity of data and broaden the scope of experimental findings.
2. Field Experiments.
Experiments that are usually done outside the laboratory settings. In field
experiments, antecendent conditions and the outcome of dependent measures of behavior were
manipulated in a natural setting. It has greater external validity.
