Dear Ma’am,
I am here by submitting my Internship Report, which is a part of the BBA Program
curriculum. It is a great achievement to work under your active supervision.

I got the opportunity to work in SkyTracker Limited in “Planning Team” for seven weeks,
under the supervision of Mr. Javed Wasim Khan. This project gave me both academic and
practical exposures. First of all, I learned about the organizational culture of a prominent BTL
agency of the country. Secondly, the project gave me the opportunity to develop a network
with the corporate environment. I shall be highly obliged if you are kind enough to receive
this report and provide your valuable judgment. It would be my immense pleasure if you find

Executive Summary

The report is made in purpose of Bus 498 course. The main theme of the report is to get the
practical work experience by implementing academic knowledge. In different situations
these knowledge helped to achieve professionalism. Besides, there were ups and downs time
since I did not have experience of working in agency. However, throughout the 8 weeks I
catch the thing that what reputation SkyTracker Limited has in the "Agency" industry, how
they work, their functions. In this report, I have mentioned company overview, how the
agency works. Secondly, I have briefly discussed about departments, my assignments and
contributions to SkyTracker Limited. I have shared my learnings and skills that I gathered
throughout this internship program. Additionally, I have seen my expectation vs reality
facts, academic knowledge vs practical knowledge, organizational work culture throughout
this program. Lastly, I must mention my colleagues' and supervisor's relation with me and
how they taught me to fight in critical situations.

Introduction
Internship is one of the critical part for a student of undergraduate business program.
Internship programs offer students a practical experience within the enterprise relating to
their field of study. It is the time whilst a student gets the opportunity to have interaction with
the actual work environment and its techniques after a 4 year long studying. It is extra useful
for the students from the business background because in the sort of profession, practical
exposures to modes and operations of different corporations are very much essential.

I completed my internship program at Sky Tracker Limited earlier this year. I become an
intern under Md. Shamim Shahed who's currently the Head of planning. In the 2 months of
internship I had found out about the special works done by an agency.

This file includes a detailed summary of my work experiences. Also, 7 journals were
attached inside the APPENDIX section that illustrates my weekly mastering for the duration
of the internship

Company Overview
Sky Tracker Ltd. is registered under the company’s act 2010 and in the same year they started
their operation. It is one of the leading BTL organizations in Bangladesh. They are serving
their work to one of a kind multi-nation organizations inclusive of Philip Morris, Uniliver,
Nestle and many more. Local agencies are also large customer of Sky Tracker Ltd. The
activities and communications are very important and maximum powerful marketing gear for
any organization. Sky Tracker Ltd contributing to build a nice image through excellent and
precise works.

How the Agency work


Creative and strategic method to responding briefs across a number of industries and
manufacturers. They have experience in running Sales promotions. Ready to serve a range of
massive campaigns throughout many manufacturers and work intently with clients, group
develops idea to sell their activity, which has to be revolutionary and effective. Different

My Assignments and Contribution to Sky Tracker LTD


I was assigned as an intern within the planning strategy. Planning strategy generally performs
a lot of vital agency activities. Planning strategy department is the branch, which is mostly
exposed to the most clients. It is the introductory branch of the agency to its clients.

Contributions to the Company learning


As an intern I attempted my best to offer my 100% to the assignment I became provided with.
In those 2 months of internship duration I changed into assigned with specific styles of
paintings.
 I was assigned to analyze the clients brief and oversea the plan if all the things are
correct.
 I was given to input all of the information of clients of the agency.
 I was given the work of preserving the security and the published stationary.
 I was given the work of planning in accordance with the consumers’ need.
 I had to cope with the creative department for the 3-d layout.

 I was assigned to help in developing plan of Standard Chartered Sadeeq.
 I helped my colleagues whenever they had been busy with their personal work.
 I was given the work receiving feedback from the clients.

Lessons from the Internship Program


Internship is a practical life experience that is created for the fresh graduate college students
as a part of their graduation program for the development purpose. Under this developmental
aspect I came across many matters. I actually have evolved over last 2 months. I even have
learnt to be punctual and expert in my field. The principal lesson that I discovered from my
experience in this 2 months was the practical application of knowledge that I have achieved
from North South University. I did my major in marketing that I actually have covered
practically over the past 2 months in superb details. My supervisors were very cooperative in
case of sharing their expertise and helped me in every factor as I was new there. They helped
to expand my competencies that are simply going to help me in my future existence. The
capabilities that I even have learned within the time in Sky Tracker Limited are discussed
below-

Understanding the working place and environment


First of all, this internship was a new experience for me and it took 2-3 days to understand the
surroundings of the SkyTracker LTD. I had an awesome observation on both the employees
and the management about how they speak and communicate within themselves in the office.
Although the surroundings turned into friendly however there were certain policies and
regulations inside the office which turned into completely new for me. Therefore, before
starting the tasks it was essential for me to understand the environment.

People Skills
Working in an office environment for 2 consecutive months has exposed me to the culture
which I actually have not been capable to experience during my academic years. This
internship has enriched my conversation skills as I had to talk with my colleagues,
supervisors and other executives outside the workplace. The internship has additionally
stronger my interpersonal abilities as I even have communicated with exceptional executives
regarding distinct queries. Overall, it has boosted through self-belief to interact highly
qualified personal formally and informally.

In the period of my internship, it has created the sense of professionalism in me like- dressing
up formally, having punctuality; keeping confidentiality and running with responsibility.
Moreover, it helped to recognize numerous policies and regulation within the corporate
world and the way to healthy there.

Punctuality
The office is a place where every peoples should be punctual and that is obligatory for
everybody. Unless people are not punctual, they won’t be active. A agency needs energetic
people for its efficiency so from my agency I actually have learnt that punctuality is critical
to give my satisfactory performance to the organization as my agency do now not allow such
personnel who come late.

Technical Skills
During my internship program I was assigned with work to input records and additionally
were given a chance to observe the colleagues who had been using excel. This enables me to
increase my technical competencies.

Work Environment and Organizational Culture:


Work environment and organizational tradition are two very critical factors for any
companies. The surroundings of Sky Tracker is superb. The office hours of the agency are
from 10 am to 5 pm. no one is allowed to come late. Everyone attempt to come to office
through 9.30 am. And they leave the office from 6.30 pm to 7 pm. They have a very friendly
surroundings and they treat every other more like friend than colleagues. They do now not
prefer addressing each other in a totally formal way. These permit them to keep their works
properly coordinated and make sure that the same procedures are being observed
everywhere. In my early days I used to call everyone as Sir and Madam. But they insisted me
to address them as Bhaiya and Apu in place of Sir or Madam. “Sir” was used only for the
manager. This factor helped me to coordinate with them without difficulty and made my
work easier. Agency used to serve lunch for its people and after they have greater work load
manager used to offer dinner additionally that also worked as motivation for them. I have
become so pleasant with them my supervisor gave me treat at the last day of my internship.

Interaction with supervisors and co-workers:
I even have a completely healthful relation with all my supervisors and colleagues. They
liked my personality and work. I talked with my supervisor every day and told him to offer
me a few recommendation so that I can enhance my performance. I actually have maintained
a very good courting with my bosses and they recommended me a lot and stimulated me to
join there as a full time employee. I actually have talked with them on numerous issues-
current task market, destiny profession plan and so on. Even, I actually have interacted with
different personnel of other departments. I even have become friends with my co-workers.
Good interactions with co-workers and supervisor can help create an innovative mind, as
they know the way to foster progressive behaviour at work.

Challenges Encountered:
It is always challenging to work in an agency. More or less the common situation I faced at
some stage in my internship was that of incomplete information given with by the customers
who came for to get done their promotions. Other work may be run if any facts is missing but
while it comes to event, that's especially for the corporate industry and corporate customers,
and open to all can't be accomplished. In these sort of situations, I did not plan for the
occasion but have taken re-brief from those customers.
Another problem of the accounts branch was the most commonplace undertaking to finish
day-to-day works, calculate them, and lastly input them into one single excel sheet. It was
tough for me to deal with it for the first few days to get the calculations right however my
manager helped me and stimulated me. I have become serious and worked hard to match all
the sides accurately as calculation.

Difference between my expectation and experience:
 The experience that I have gathered in my internship was beyond my expectation. I
constantly heard that the activity responsibilities of interns are restricted to
photocopying and following the instructions. However, my experience was really
opposite. I had the opportunity to put in force what I found out in my educational life
as well as accumulate precious knowledge on how the actual global corporation runs.
I was given to do challenging duties being depended on which worked as a
motivation for me. However, it become a bit disappointing occasionally as I couldn't
use my creativity in some cases.
 I needed to officially speak with my supervisors and co-worker and had to maintain a
professional organizational behaviour with all of the personnel of Sky Tracker Ltd.
Limited. I found out about such formal interaction in my Management courses like,
MGT 351 (HRM), MGT 489 (Strategic Management). But in reality such interactions
required extra of my inter-personal talents and the verbal exchange competencies that
I have learned from my in class presentations than the text e book knowledge I
garnered throughout my educational profession
 From this course I even have found out abourt special forms of team - problem
solving team, self-managed group, and virtual team. But in our workplace we have
only seen problem solving group. People from department sit assembly and discover
a solution for the problem

Influence in my career plan:


Internship is good platform for a us to experience the flavor of the corporate world. A mind
set was vital for a student to plan for the approaching profession and search for opportunities.
I changed into suffering to set my career and turned into deliberating exclusive businesses to
apply but determined to go with the marketing agency. I am a pupil majoring in marketing
and usually had a passion to work for marketing institution and what else better than
operating as an intern in a reputed agency. This experience I wanted to have only because
somewhere deep inside I desired to know how a marketing agency works and am I being
capable to deal with the pressure of the agency.

After the completion of my internship program with Sky Tracker Ltd. I honestly recognize
that I am going to work for a advertising and marketing agency or any different business

enterprise and for that I thank all my co-workers and my supervisor due to the fact they
helped me to recognize my abilities and my barriers and also encouraged me to move in this
profession.

What would I do differently if I had to redo this internship?


If I had the chance to redo my Internship, I might have done my internship again in the
agency but with greater professionalism and dedication towards my job in order that I could
research greater. Moreover, I would change some of the methods of doing works that I may
want to do extra successfully and efficiently. I might try and involve greater into the work
and also will try to work for different departments in order that I can learn more.

Lastly, I would try to be more communicative with the people of different departments if I
were given the chance to redo it. I might become more extrovert and vocal in pronouncing
my opinion in the front of others.

Conclusion:
Overall, the internship programme became an exceptional platform for me to get a realistic
understanding about the company world. I also were given the opportunity to use and
decorate my educational expertise for the duration of my internship tenure. The internship
has played a crucial role in influencing my future profession goals. Now I even have a higher
idea about the career that I need to pursue.
In addition, the experience of working as a team and work surroundings was invaluable for
me. The internship given me such critical understanding. I consider myself lucky to work for
such an corporation like Sky Tracker Ltd.

Overview of Week: 1
I began my internship with Sky Tracker Limited after I went along with them on the 23 rd of
January, 2020. I was then acquainted with my supervisor, Javed Wasim Khan who is as of
now the Assistant Manager, Planning). He gave me a warm greeting and acquainted me with
the all the staffs of the agency alongside Md. Moniruzzaman Talukder (Manager, Operations)
and Md. Rahat Ikbal (Group Account Manager) and also I was introduced with MD. Sarfaraj
Alam Chowdhury (Head of Operations). It has been very simple for me to adjust to the new
condition and believe that I will keep on getting a charge out of working here for the coming
weeks.
Since I simply went along with, I did not have computer access. I was given the slides and
not many papers which clarified in subtleties the work they do. Mr. Javed Wasim Khan gave
me instructions about their work and their work duties. Toward the start of the year and
furthermore at the mid-time customers have a large amount of project to execute. The
organization takes every necessary step in the interest of that organization. At that point, he
appointed me my first undertaking that my activity was to check the plan of Suzuki Dealers
Meet event’s planning.
During my first week, I saw that they have a well-disposed condition and they treat each
other more like friends than colleagues. They do not lean toward tending to one another in an
exceptionally formal manner. These empower them to keep their function admirably planned
and ensure that similar methodology is being followed all over.

Task Done:
In the second week the task that was allotted to me was to make a BTL promotional plan for
Standard Chartered Sadeeq. It took me very nearly three days to effectively finish this
assignment.
I likewise needed to arrange and make some files for the documents of various organizations
which are the client's bill, agreement, and other important documents. The documents were
essentially scattered and along these lines it required a quite long time for completing these
properly.
While doing that work I was allotted another job that was to cross check two excel files of
employees’ salary and point out which transactions were lost.
Observations:
I attempted to watch basically everybody working here, they are committed to work. In spite
of the fact that the workplace hour begins from 10:00 am and finishes at 6:00 pm, I have
regularly observed some of them going to the workplace at 8:30 am and some of them
leaving at 7:00 pm.

Task Accomplishment:
Before cut off time making the master plan for the firm, which is thinking of a thought that
clients can use to run their tasks. In the wake of making the arrangement I have to request
suggestions from supervisor. To keep the straightforwardness of the work I put reference in
that file. My group and supervisor monitor whether the planning is productive or not. On
condition that of if they initiate something immaterial they precise it by giving proper
suggestions.

At the fifth week I was given the work to share the arrangement to innovative division and
make the visual of the marking components, structure and different components of the
arrangement. How the things will be really being pictured through 3D plan. The work is to
show the customers how it will be truly. Creative department give their work back and the
last arrangement is made to present the customers or need to contribute front of them.

Learning and Achievement:


Prior to sharing my thought, I have taken in the process to execute an enormous idea. I need
to experience many organization foundations for how they have done it beforehand.

Work Done:
This week was the busiest schedule in this month. We have visited companies like Techno,
Huwaei, Banglalink for giving us task. There were other agencies also, we have noted
everything which of those clients said to us. After that, they told each and every agency to
submit their plan within the next week along with proper costing.

Learning and Achievement:


Sometimes agencies face great trouble whenever they do not get work. My supervisor once
told me that, most of the BTL agencies suffer in the month of Ramadan because of not having
events and activations that much. As a result, we pitched to clients for getting tasks. It was a
great learning for me because I did not have experience like this that there will be 4 agencies
pitching with clients in the meantime. Another thing I learnt that, client wants less costing
with proper quality which is a very challenging part for making suitable costing for clients.
