HOW TO USE THIS BOOK
Assalamu 'alaykum.
I first compiled this workbook in 2017 and made it available on my previous blog
(Islamic Bedtime Stories).
I designed it to be a resource simple enough to be flexible: primary school aged

children, older kids and even adults can benefit. It would be a good resource for
new Muslims.
Each page now features a different reflection questions at the end; these can be
answered briefly in the space available, used as writing prompts or provide a
useful starter for meaningful conversation with the whole family, in sha'Allah.
The texts of the proofs (ayaat and ahadeeth) are collected at the end, where
memorisation can be tracked.
I initially conceived it to be completed in Ramadan (1 Name per day) but none of

the activities in it are specific to Ramadan, so it can be used at any time. I ask
Allah to benefit my family and yours through this humble effort.

cannot be true Muslims and worship Allah correctly if we don't know Allah.
But, one might ask:

Obviously, we cannot get to know Allah the same way we get to know
a new friend because we cannot see Him or communicate with Him
the same way. However, Allah gave us two reliable sources of
information that deal with all important topics we need to know
about, including Himself. They are:
The Qur'an The sunnah

The Qur'an is the By Sunnah we mean all the collections of
speech of Allah and, authentic narrations (hadeeth)
in it, Allah calls regarding our Prophet Muhammad (salla

The Powerful

Allah is the Strongest and
Most Powerful. He does what

" ‫اﻟﺴﺎﻋَ ﺔِ َﻓ ُﻜ ْﻦ‬

‫َﺬ ُﻛﺮُ ﱠ‬ْ ‫ﻳ‬

not forget anything. As-
Salaam also means that Allah
is the Giver of security. If a
person does not deserve to be
punished,he or she is safe
from His punishment.

grateful for that and rewards
it generously. He does not let
any good deed of the believers

‫ﻴﻊ‬ ‫ﻧﺖ ﱠ‬ َ ‫ﻚ َأ‬ َ ‫ﻴﻞ َر ﱠﺑ َﻨﺎ َﺗ َﻘ ﱠﺒ ۡﻞ ﻣِ ﱠﻨ ۖﺂ ِإ ﱠﻧ‬
ُ ِ‫َو ِإ ۡﺳﻤَ ٰـﻌ‬ He hears even the quietest

and voices at the same time
and has no problem
understanding each one of

The Almighty

He owns all honour and

overpower anyone and
anything.

All creation is submissive to
Him and He has full control
over all His creatures.
Sometimes people that are more

powerful than us may try to oppress us
and this can be worrying or scary. How
can knowing that Allah is al-'Azeez help
