AGRADECIMENTOS
This work has as its theme Literacy and literacy: challenges and possibilities in the
educational practice of the teaching-learning process directed to the 1st year of
elementary school at the Escola Educação Infantil Degraus in Canaã dos Carajás /
PA. In this context, the following problems were sought: what are the consequences
caused by illiteracy in the 1st year of elementary school? What factors influence the
lack of understanding of the Iracema Meireles method for children in the first year of
elementary school? In the course of this research, priority was given to the following
hypotheses that can point to the possible causes of these eminent problems: the lack
of socialization; application of different methods; lack of teacher / student affection;
lack of professional qualification of the teacher. However, the objective was to
analyze the students' degree of learning in the process of literacy and literacy geared
towards the 1st year of elementary school at that school. The specific objectives are
to stimulate the affection between teacher and student; develop different methods in
the teaching-learning process, aimed at the 1st year of elementary school;
individually identify how each student prefers to learn to read and write; recognize the
skills needed to use writing in the school context; to know social uses and functions
of writing; use and value the modes of production and circulation of writing in society.
To this end, an applicability methodology was adopted, with monitoring by managers,
direction, coordination and students, during the months of August, September and
October of the year 2018.
